Again, w/ 17x7.5 wheels and 225/45/17 tires your speedometer willl be fine.
It's a subaru, as long as you arent super low to the ground youll be fine in most situations. Go play with tirerack's website and they will hold your hand as well as recommend wheels/tires that you may like or not.

Ive been wanting to get some HIDs so bad. I had them on my last car with projectors. Ive been stalling on getting them for all the hate I see in the lighting section that says dont put HIDs in the stock halogen projectors. Care to explain what you think of the HIDs performance?

Well you can tell those people to blow your shaftsicle lol. Its your car do what you want. HIDs dont bother me unless in a reflector housing, or some dbag with a lifted truck and hids out the ass. I can vouch for DDM have had mine for over a year and not a single problem. Personally I saw notable gains going from stock to hids mine are 35w and saw big gains I could only imagine what a 55w kit puts out.

How is the beam on the road? / Was it a plug in play ? Did you have any problems installing?

To me it seems identical to stock except it is much brighter. Installation was breeze with ddms slim ballast took all of 10 minutes to complete.

I had a 35w 6000k kit in my car for 3 days. Horrible output compared to our stock halogens. The bluish hue got to me and was just plain annoying.

Not at all. The human eye just seems yellowish hues better then blue. They looked sweet though. Still have them laying around if someone wants them.

I have 6000k, not to high, no more than stock height level. The odd person will flash me, thinking my highs are on. Are they just not used to aftermarket lighting or should I assume I'm one of those "a**hats" with 55w low beams? I really don't remember what I have.

+1

i had mines from DDM for about 2 years now;6k 35w. Their way brighter than stock halogen. And every car on the road is going to blind you at a specific distance. Just aim them lower and you'll be fine. But yes, i've heard DDM is pretty shady; and their product ships straight from china's factories so expect a long ship time.

and why get HID Hi Beams? don't you need them to be instantly on? Hids have to warm up
unless you got the bi-halogens
