The AEM 818R Version 2.5 - now with moar coating
After a few months off the 818R went back under the knife. This time getting a custom up-pipe, exhaust, etc. built to fit our GTX3071R turbo supplied by Garrett.
I'm very pleased to say that everything went on mostly problem free and the car made a respectable 346whp and 370 ft/lbs on 22psi on a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno. Falken sent me a set of RT-615K tires to throw on for the Optima Ultimate Street Car event this weekend at PPIR where the car will be featured as an exhibition vehicle for AEM Induction. Huge thanks to everyone that's made this project a reality, but enough blathering, what you really came for, pictures and video. More pictures http://imgur.com/a/NBiPw#0 Dyno pull Dyno sheet - 1.285 CF, 150 RR, 2k-7k pull (ignore the scale on the sheet) - 10lbs of ish in a 6lb bag (they have a little more room than a WRX) -

yeah i've been trolling their forums but it doesn't sit well with me to run such tiny tires up front per the recommendations.
you have to do a lot of trimming? assuming you can't go full lock |

No trimming in back, a fair amount up front. I can turn lock to lock, they rub the back of the headlights a bit. |

yeah but like you added power, we are going for more power as well and ours is a full STi drivetrain/etc, not a WRX. just know those recommended 225's will be fighting for dear life on track even though it is stupid light.

After a failed attempt at ONE last event she's in the garage and I've started on the next phase of the build.
ID1000s are going away, as are the Perrin rails and the Crawford AOS. Going to redo some boost pipes, more thermal management, and more importantly address the woefully inadequate in tank pump and fuel tank configuration. To be continued... Last edited by Crawlerado; 03-01-2017 at 12:08 PM. |

She's officially under the knife (wrench) for version 2.5. Not nearly enough time to get everything done that I had planned over the winter but this will be a nice middle step for the 2017 season.
http://imgur.com/a/OHIlW Updating the fuel system with ID1050X injectors, IAG TGV deletes, IAG rails and lines, IAG Competition Series AOS. Some thermal management, new wheels, and an exciting new plug and play Speed Density conversion harness from iWire (more on this later) |

What are you doing to get cool air through that intercooler?

Bonus from the dyno session, proof that the RMIC works as a heat exchanger even with no airflow (car was on the dyno backwards)

Why don't you wire up a couple big spaal fans on the core, maybe with a shroud and put some big honking vents in the top panel/run without it? Not perfect but a lot better than nothing! car looks like a total beast on the auto-X course |

If you don't mind me asking as I have the same base trubo what hotside, boost, and fuel?
EWG dumped back into the downpipe? I have a 1.06 hotside that I'm thinking of throwing on and currently running the .63. Thanks! |
