Question Waste spark ignition info

Anyone know of a website that has some good info on waste spark ignition systems? I'd like to learn a little more about how my ignition works. The guy who helped me install the ECU said that this ignition system does not deal well with platinum or iridium plugs of a certain type. I'd like to learn more about the reasons behind this.
