Default Complicated Hybrid Question

Im planning on doing an sti shortblock with built wrx heads.

i just ordered my sti intake manifold but now im wondering if i can use my wrx tgvs. If not do they make tgv deletes for my top feed? i can only find tgv deletes for sti sidefeed.

I already have my new top feed injectors and would hate to find out i must go sidefeed now after purchasing an sti intake mani.

Need help, thanks

delete the WRX tgv's yourself. It really is simple and free (minus the purchase of dremel tools if you don't have any)!

If its a USDM STi intake manifold, there is no difference between it and the WRX unit. One of the JDM manifolds is a one piece unit without TGV's. Which one do you have? There is no performance difference between the USDM STi and WRX manifold.

A reliable source told me some of the Puerto Rican cats run that manifold with dyno proven results. Do you want to sell it?

I haven't personally talked to anyone running the N/A manifold so I can't help you there but I do recomend you sell me your DOHC 2.5.L N/A manifold and research the rest and get back to us.

The USDM STi manifold will only work with the USDM Drive By Wire (DBW) throttle body.

Wire in a DBW throttle and ECU?
Drill and tap the manifold for the cable throttle body?
Use a WRX/RS manifold?

Does the bolt pattern on the N/A 2.5 manifold match the wrx heads? If so I'm going to swap my N/A manifold onto my WRX for an easy TGV delete.

Yes, you just turn off all the codes when you retune for TGV deletes.

Your break-in tune is one of the most important things and should be considered part of the build. Don't try and break in your new motor without at least a rough tune and at that time you can have the cels turned off.

Most guys that tune cars will send you a startup map to flash so you can run it until you get it to them. If you don't know what you are doing, just don't be stupid with it until somebody who does know what they are doing looks at it for you.
