Default 15th Annual 48hrs of Tristate 2016

15th Annual Trip for 2016

2016 Info

This year marks our 15th annual event and the longest continuously running Subaru event in the country. This annual group drive includes about 1,500 miles of driving spread over 4 days. We kick it off with Breakfast and a Meet & Greet with Subaru of America Executives at the Subaru of America Headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ. Then we jump in our Subies and head for the highway as we group drive out to Lafayette, IN for a tour of the SIA plant on Friday. There we also hold the door prize raffle in their auditorium before taking a leisurely drive heading east toward Turn In Concepts in Ohio.

Clint, the owner of TIC who has been a sponsor for many years will be opening up the doors for a winter BBQ and Meet and Greet! On Saturday we will make our way through the mountains of West Virginia. The back roads in WV show off the Subaru AWD systems and are loads of fun!

Not only is this trip an amazing way to see the scenic winterscapes but it is an opportunity for you to help give back to the community. All registrants are required to sign up through our link to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a charity that helps to fight childhood cancer. The donations you make to ALSF act as your "entry fee" for the event. They are also tax deductible!

There are all different folks who attend the trip, young adults, families, retirees, you name it, if they enjoy Subarus they are there. We caravan in groups of 10-15 cars and communicate from car to car via CB radios. People share stories during the trip and many folks have made lifelong friends through the past events. It is truly an amazing way folks bond together!

This year we will be doing lots and lots of miles for charity! Our travels will take us up to the Subaru manufacturing plant in Indiana, Turn In Concepts in Ohio and through the mountains of WV and PA. Sunday we will motor across PA and NJ for the closing dinner in Woodbridge, NJ.

Dates & Route
The trip this year will kickoff on Wednesday Evening January 13th and conclude on Sunday January 17th.

Wednesday Night- Cherry Hill, NJ
Thursday- Cherry Hill, NJ to Lafayette, IN
Friday- Lafayette, IN to Cincinnati, OH
Saturday- Cincinati, OH to Morgantown, WV
Sunday- Morgantown, WV to Woodbridge, NJ

Registration
We need folks to register as early as possible so that we can plan a bit better for our stops and groups. Please register on our website. There are no registration fees, but there are "minimum" donation requirements. Drivers must donate a minimum of $100 and Passengers is $75. This donation as in the past goes directly to the charity and is tax deductible. Register Here!

Premium Sponsors
So far this year we have a great set of premium sponsors donating prizes for the door prize raffle! Please patronize these businesses as they help make this trip happen.

Just got my subie and this looks like a ton of fun, unfortunately I won't be in the country. Maybe next year!

So how does all of this work in terms of lodging and meals?

The stop at Turn in Concepts is enough motivation for me to go! I've been a TIC customer since 2009. Unfortunately, I have a baby on the way and my wife would kill me.

We get group rates set up ahead of time so most people can stay in the same hotel to make destinations and departures easier, as for meals generally when it's not a group stop like TiC or SIA the meals are whenever your group decides to get grub.

In 2011 we made a similar trip to SIA and my better half was 3 months pregnant.
