I'm there once a month, or at least I try to be. I go on Sunday's because it's the only day they are open that I am not at work.
Sometimes in my xD, sometimes in my wagon. |

Here are two AR's I've built back in GA:
Lightweight precision build: .75MOA with 68 grain BTHP in new lakecity brass and my Larue Tactical Stealth build: sub .6 MOA on a good day with above ammo My custom s.80 1911 by MARS armaments: And my old 3-gun pistol: I've since switched to a M&P9, much better ergo, crappy stock trigger reset (much better after the APEX RAM). |

hey where do you NJ guys typically go shooting?
my dad and I frequent this range in bangor, PA. We also used to shoot at goldsboro but for whatever reason it was closed. Honestly I prefer going out of state because its much less of a hassle. |

CJRPC - Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club in Jackson
When I lived in Hopewell, I went to LRGC - Langhorne Rod & Gun club Both are private clubs that require membership, but CJRPC is probably the best in the state. You can also try Range 14 if you want which is at Fort Dix. |

"I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face. We were doing overwatch on the village to recon and gather intel. I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety." "A round struck the tube by my hand of the 203 grenade launcher which knocked it out of my hands. When I picked the rifle back up it was still functional but the grenade launcher tube had a nice sized 7.62 cal bullet hole in it and was rendered useless." |

Ive finally gotten all my paperowrk and stuff in order and have purchased a Sig Sauer P229. itll be in early next week. I bought it in the 22LR version for the price and will immediately purchase some extra mags and the Sig Sauer .40cal Centerfire X-Change kit. By the time im done with those purchases, ill have 2 gun platforms for the price of what one .40cal P229 wouldve cost.
I do have one more handgun purchase permit, but wont be able to use it for just over a month or so. Im looking into either 1 of the following choices but am open to suggestions... -Kimber 1911 Custom II .45ACP -Walther PPQ 9mm -Remington R1 .45ACP As far as the suggestions go, Im not into glocks. They feel like hard plastic bricks. The Walther PPQ (even tho its the same type of polymer platform) has an amazing ergonomic grip and is very comfortable to hold unlike the glock.. only my opinion. Let me know what you guys think. Even let me know if youve got something your looking into selling. maybe we can make a deal... |

Hey, Glocks aren't for everyone
Quote:
I'm not a big fan of 9mm, the extra recoil on the 45acp is barely discernible and it hits much harder. The only reason (in my opinion) to go 9mm is because the ammo is much cheaper. But if ammo costs are an issue then I would get yet another gun to complement the 1911 -- a Ruger 22/45. They're like 300 bucks new and are designed to emulate the 1911 except they chamber .22 rounds which is the cheapest ammo for plinking by a large margin. You can shoot 500+ rounds of .22 for around the same cost as a 50 round box of 9mm. And if you hone your skills on a .22 you will be shooting the entire magazine through the same hole in the paper when switching to a larger caliber. |

Hmm, broken? Yikes. Pretty sure Springers have a lifetime warranty, unless it was customized and broke or something...
This is a pretty decent thread, little old, but helped me a ton when looking at 1911's. http://www.1911addicts.com/showthrea...u-1911-addicts... Last edited by nickb21; 10-22-2012 at 04:48 PM. Reason: Link. |
