Exclamation Big Problems With My 06 Sti

ok here i go,

bear with me because i am trying... about a week ago i was driving to go skate (fairly cold night high 50's) and while getting on the gas it sputtered really bad. so i parked and opened up the hood, and what did i find but my cobb intake seperated in the middle. that made me so very happy so i put it back together and drove on. from then on the car has not run right. i took the intercooler off and noticed that my tranny pitch mount (dogbone looking piece) was seperated in two. so i bought a new one and a day later only in first and second gear has been sputtering really bad but only when i really get on the gas (boosting). an engine code came up (p0301) missfire in cylinder 1. changed the spark plugs with NGK's and 2 new codes came up 1)p0244 and 2)p0245 the car still sputters and while driving if it boosts at all the CEL light flashes and the cruise control light flashes.............. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!VERY FRUSTRATED...DO YALL THINK ITS JUST THE BOOST SOLENOID???

checked hoses, went back to stock bov, and checked connection

You have one of the early Cobb intakes. Contact them to let them know it came apart and they will replace it with a new one that is one-piece. In the meantime, I recommend using the stock airbox.

i really dont have any suggestions but this same problem happened to me... all the way down to the tranny pitch mount snapping. (minus the cobb intake). I took it to my subaru dealer in hawaii. It spent about a month in the shop and they never could narrow the problem down. The Cel light would flash SOH (subaru of hawaii) said that was due to to misfiring. While in the shop they tried plugs, coil packs, and timing. Somehow they managed to "fix" the problem... they told me that a "valve cap" had expanded and stuck open causing the misfire. That's how it was explained to me, in the end the car ended up running fine for about 8 months... now the problem is back. Now im worried my car might never run right... i had planned on putting some money in it.. but why put money in something that doesnt work.. and when it does only for a couple months at a time.

Your MAF could be shot?
Try to clean it with crc electonics cleaner.
I agree with stock box, hard reset

Its the intake FOLKS, its leaking air in the middle bypassing the MAS and causing a heasitation because the engine is getting more air than it thinks. Call Cobb and tell them your intake is the old piece of sh@t and you want the new piece, its as easy as that. Intake air calb. is so important to our computers, it can **** up everything. done.

a) if you took a moment to read the thread, you'd see that he has already got the intake replaced.
b) you dodged the swear filter and earned some infraction points.

make sure your coil pack harnesses are plugged in tight. also, make sure they are plugged in the right locations. i'm not sure if it's the same as the wrx, but the black colored harnesses go in the rear and the white colored harnesses go in the front. your spark plug gaps may not be in spec either.

try a boost leak test... and make sure that you "tug" on the vac lines to the fpr and in front of the mani (across the mani form the fpr). Those vac lines kept poping off of my intake mani, and would cause detonation. The boost would blow them off, and the instant vac would suck them back on. It was a mess untill I got it all figured out.

check this, behind the battery there are 2 big connectors-black one and brown one-check the wires going into those connectors.sometimes when the pitching stopper breaks the left side of the motor will lift higher then normal and break some of those wires.i have seen this several times.
