Default Just replaced cabin filter

Found this nice cabin filter from ebay (~$12 shipped) and finally had a chance to put it in:

You need to remove like 10 screws in order to remove glove box:

New vs Old (~30k miles)

Can you please post the ebay link to the filter? I need to change mine but don't want to pay $30 + shipping for OEM filter.

Thanks!

just make your own filters, its not hard at all and is very cheap.

buy a large 3m filtrete aircon/heater filter from target, lowes or HD and cut it to size.

Yeah, I just replaced mine on my 2007 STI with 13k miles! you wouldn't believe how dirty it was!! it has leaves, twigs, debris, etc. all over it! Bought mine from aircabin man on ebay and had it within a few days of purchase. Took 30 min to install!

Whats the difference between the OEM vs. EBAY vs. Home Depot filtrete filters regarding material, etc?

if you make your own, it obviously doesn't have the edging around it, you just have to keep cutting until it fits in there. As far as material, you can buy whatever furnace filter you want, ranging from the extremely dense stuff with the high MERV rating to the free flowing stuff that only filters really large particles.

Personally, just buy a medium rated furnace filter at walmart for $5, which gives you enough material to make 4 cabin filters.

and it works just as well? What are the negative points, if any? This is a new concept for me as I never even thought of this as an option...

I guess i should check mine, I have around 13k on my 08. It simple to take out, just unhook the strut to drop the glove box, then open the cabin door and pull it out.
