EMERGENCY REQUEST!!!

Does anybody in the pgh area have a silicone turbo inlet for 02-07 wrx? I'm leaving for vacation thursday morning and discovered late last night that my stock inlet is torn to shreds on the turbo side. I NEED to get this thing on there before I leave and am looking for silicone so I don't have to take the manifold off. Please let me know, thanks.

Duct Tape. That point doesn't see any positive relative pressure.

Isn't the stocker hard plastic except for the last inch or so? Probably could get a silicone coupler in there for a permanent kludge too.

Wonder how long duct tape would hold? The glue runs and the cloth dries out in heat (eventually). I bet it would last more than a few days like that.

So I guess 2006 WRX doesn't have the atmospheric pressure sensor in the secondary pump stuff. Guess that explains why I was able to log the atmospheric pressure via RR. lol...

You might not... I have a theory that I'd like to test. The ECU only checks that sensor on startup to see if that reading is vastly different than the MAP sensor. If it is, it'll cut fuel/spark. BUT, you can define the scaling for the atmospheric sensor in the ECU. You can just edit the scaling so even with it disconnected, it 'sees' a middle of the range atmospheric pressure like 14.2psia or whatever it is in Pittsburgh. Sure, the car might not start if you take it to 20,000+ feet but the solution to that is simple. Don't drive in the Himalayas.

thats no solution. worst case you pull the electronics from it, and stash it somewhere unseen, seeing it is his problem.

next step is full wire tuck:

Why is that not a viable solution? When's the last time you drove your Subaru at 20,000 feet?

whens the last time a storm rolled in? whens the last time you drove/rode something carbureted? or something with no baro reference?

just go pull 3% fuel and add 3% timing to your maps and see how it drives. the whole map. go on.
