Default Stock Crosstrek Roof Rail Fit

Hello everyone,

Would anyone happen to have any experience with whether or not the stock roof rails (the ones that are mounted forward to back, lengthwise with the vehicle) on the Crosstrek will fit the same generation Impreza or STi? I visited the dealer and they showed us a roof rack that runs widthwise and doesn't look as nice and I'd really like to have the same rack on our two vehicles as the Crosstrek if possible. All the vehicles in my question are 2018s.

If anyone knows I'd appreciate it!

Since it's the same car as the Impreza with different suspension basically, it should fit that. STI almost certainly not.

I seem to recall someone talking about adding the stock rails on their Impreza and everyone telling them "good luck finding a shop to do it for you". I cant remember what came of that.

You totally probably did hear that. I just heard back from Subaru today that apparently the way those rails mount is different and they have to get under the lining on the roof apparently to mount them. He said they'd fit but it'd be a ridiculous labour cost.

So yeah, I guess that answers it for me. I'll just leave this here I guess in case anyone else wonders the same thing later on...

I have a 15 Crosstrek and removed the stock roof rails and bought the trim pieces for a 15 Impreza. Everything fit fine, I would imagine the Crosstrek rails would fit on the Impreza. I did have to partially drop the headliner to get to the bolts but it was no big deal, couple hours start to finish for the whole job. I have the rails if you need a set. JK
