an exhaust shop can cut out the factory muffler and bolt in something else, a glasspack for example, but whatever you want. that is going to be the least expensive option, but no real resale value like with aftermarket kit.

Thanks for the sticky on the warranty! Makes sense.

As for an exhaust, I was looking for a very deep sound. I've heard a few glass packs but didn't like how they sounded.

Newbie question but how would I know what parts would fit my car? Like a F/R sway bars, springs, exhaust, muffler, etc.

Search the 2012 Aftermarket thread and the 2012 Impreza thread. Everything is there.

The 12+ impreza aftermarket thread (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2131206) is a good place to start. As for those specific components, the last gen. STI 19mm rear sway bar works, just keep in mind if you have a base model (not limited or premium) your car doesn't have a sway bar, so you'd need endlinks as well. Pretty sure the 08+ wrx springs are compatible.

As for muffler/exhaust, of the shelf the Borla pn. 11843 is their answer for our imprezas/XV crosstrek, and i'm pretty sure there's a magnaflow option too. I've seen a lot of guys modifying the BRZs stock exhaust as well, but those are all axleback options. The guy over at (http://www.rallisportracing.com/) makes full systems including headers, but be prepared to pay and wait a few months if the experiences of some other guys on here is anything to go off.

Wow, thanks! Very informational. Luckily mine is Limited so I wouldn't need the end links. Personally I like the way Borla sounds, hopefully I can find a single exit!

Thanks again!

Anyone heard of swift springs? I looked at their website and they have 11-14 WRX but no 2.0 . Would those fit?

They should fit no problem. I did a muffler delete with a universal flange and 45 degree bend pipe from autozone and I love the way it sounds. A little louder at idle than the muffler, and when cruising around town has a nice little rumble and the rumble definitely comes out when you get on the throttle. I have heard the 5mt sounds better than the CVT which I have with the delete.

I installed the white line 22mm rear (from eBay) and it made a noticeable difference in my 2012 2.0 premium. Worth every penny to reduce roll and enhance rear end predictability.

can't figure out if I should go with the 19mm bar like majority here or get the 22mm that's much more easier to find at a low cost.

19 or 20 are both easy to find via subaru and are not that expensive. Way cheaper than 22mm aftermarket

Looking into buying a 2015 Subaru base. Would be the first Subaru ever and I wonder how that CVT holds up in a car. I am familiar with this transmission in fourwheelers and slipping is a common problem.

its one of the better cvts out there. do some research. auto blogs, motortrend, etc. or even the subaru news section on this forum. I have not seen any issues posted up here with the CVTs. that said, the CVT on the new WRX can get warm when pushed hard on a track or similar and an additional cooler will be smart. on the N/A motors the transmissions is fine - has been around for years and no recalls or issues to note.

I have a pickup truck with a 5MT and a legacy with a 6MT. I have just over 600 miles on my 15 sport and really like this CVT. The paddle shifters make me feel at home downshifting while slowing. And a standing start while in manual mode left in 1st gear is pretty impressive, as the engine hits redline and grabs the next gear it surges ahead. (as fast as 150hp can). And then my wife or kids can get in and drive in auto mode and be happy.
I ordered the sport grill, still debating on the 19 or 20 RSB, and im pretty sure im going to make my own axleback with a flowmaster 44.

Does anybody know if changing the catalytic converter will deny any PZEV warranty?

Probably, why even mess with it? There are cheaper ways to get a little more power. And i mean a little, with higher octane, better tune, it is pretty much maxed out

Looking into buying some neo chrome lug nuts. What would be the correct "size" I would need to buy? At Rally Sport Direct, I'm seeing 1.25 and 1.5

This has been discussed multiple times and even has a thread dedicated to this mod.
Use the search function or browse thru the pages of threads till you find it.
Simple : buy all the parts and install. Your car has no parts on it so you need them all.
Sway bar
Bushings
Brackets
Endlinks
Bolts
