Default Pulling cars out of snow.

With winter coming up quick, quick question for everyone. I have a bone stock 09 Impreza outback sport. Would I be able to try and pull people that are stuck? Or would it risk damaging something.

It depends on where you tie off at. I would not use the front bump screw in toe bar that meant to be a (1) time pull. If you have a trailer hitch that the best place to tie off.

If you are going to try to make side money, I would look into blizzak snow tires to help with traction when pulling people out.

As for the risk of damage - yes there a possibility bc your putting a load on the car. But for the most part, these cars are very strongly built.

Tip for pulling people out, its all about traction and torque you can get to the ground. Some people will spin the tires at the high rate of speed, which is dangerous

I wouldn't pull a car out with an Impreza unless it was an emergency or something. Get a truck or jeep if you want to do it on a regular basis

Please no. Carry a shovel in the trunk and eat a good breakfast every morning.

I vote you use the rear tow loop, drop it in 3rd and let her rip.
