Event was nice, but should be improved. Below is my list lol
1. Place shade and seating everywhere, especially where you would eat! 2. Place shade and seating around the events, like auto-x, etc in order to sit and watch them 3. Have more food vendors, food that is quick to make, like sandwiches, etc. 4. Don't require to be present in order to win the raffles, no-one can make it every hour to go check to see if you won something 5. Have everything organized for tickets, etc. at the entrance 6. Don't say that you will give away a damm BRZ when it's 1 in a million to choose a 6 digit number to win it. And we don't even know if there was such a winning number. Make it a damm raffle!

Event was great. Food was good, loved there was an area to drink.
The auto-x was the best, well organized aside from the arrival to auto-x situation. Great course layout, wish we could organize a lot more subie filled auto-x events. My only beef would be to the guy who stole one of my chairs in grid. Came back after some food and it was gone, pretty shady. And yeah the no hand washing station was a little gross. Great event, lots of nice cars, good competition in the autox, the skid pad looked like people were having some fun, but typical look at me and my blow off valve while i burn out my clutch leaving is ridiculous. |

+1 Felt grimy all the way home. Should have stopped at a gas station.
Not sure why it was so spread out, but lots of cool vendors. The cars were awesome, a lot of the girls were hot, and the burgers (while small) were pretty good. The beer was a bit pricey, but House of Blues is worse (and you don't win anything at most concerts). Well, I didn't win anything either and now my feet are sore and I'm slightly sunburnt, but it was fun. |

I personally would like to thank the d bag that decided to use my car as a lean to and gave me a sweet dent on my rear driver side quarter panel

Well done to the Subiefest organizers for listening to the ideas of others and making this one of the best to date in CA. I felt the layout for the event was much improved from last year. Food/Beer centrally located, bathrooms in different locations, plenty of water & trash cans, etc.
There is always room for improvement as mentioned above..such as more hand washing stations & faster flowing entry for the general public..yada yada. Yukio did a great job as MC, but he should have bumped the table when the dj played "who let the dogs out..whoot hoot hoot". Kidding aside, lets get this music thing under control. My only critical gripe is the soundboy selection that has been chosen over past 3 yrs. Not that we need a live band (even though it was awdsome) from SF3, but please consider our ears and the eclectic mix of subaru owners that this event attracts. I know the dj meant no harm but srslybroscmon this isn't a club dance party. Wi-Five to all the staff, volunteers, photographers and vendors! The caliber of cars everywhere was mind-blowing!! The wet-skid was a hit, ax layout was great..however the pavement was nuked halfway through the day (thanks Bucky ) and needs some fixing. I am looking forward to next year and hoping for a change of location. JE |

As one of the volunteers, I'm glad it went smoother overall, although at the beginning it was crazy. The fairgrounds at the last minute supplied people to help, which meant CJ had to reorganize the volunteer shifts the night before, my guess is just hours before gates opened. And then there was a lot of people who signed up to volunteer who didn't show up.
Then there was the confusion about sending people to the back gate, when that was only for staff, volunteers and autox. Signs would've been good, but I'm not sure that would've been possible given the last minute changes this year. Music...yeah I agree. Would've liked to hear some swing, jazz, salsa and good ol' rock n roll mixed in. Weather helped out though. Considerably cooler this year than last. |

I had a cooler with a big sub made, lots of water and Gatorade, chips, etc...So I did not care about the food vendors.
The shade and all that hype: the event was in Pomona and it was expected to be sunny. Did I get burned? Yes. But I am ok with it. I never meant to sit down somewhere and chill in a shade. The entrance? A ******g joke and a failure! Showed up at 7:30am (and was about 30 cars from the Mountain View yellow sign) just to wait till 9:45 to start moving in. While which an announcement was made to have tickets/money ready. Well, guess what idiots? Many, many of us bought tickets in advance and had to wait while the tards were paying as they were entering and choking up the whole line. Oh did I say line? I meant lineS, that were created ALSO after we had waited for an hour. So douches in a green Civic go ALLL the way forward and go right in. What a joke...no one could have said here you go, 3 lines, first one for the advance ticket holders and the others for payees... Parts vendors - sad. Showing up, setting up the booth just to say "here is our retail price for it". Awesome. Could have sat at home and be clicky-happy ordering parts. Not worth it really... Raffle and "models" - no comment. Not mentioning WHO'S parts they are raffling at the particular time is just an overall unprofessional doing. Idk, maybe I am a bitter person, but an event of a such volume HAS to have better organization. Just because you rented a big open parking lot and charged 15 a pop (more for the other ish) does not make it a great experience. Not to mention theft and revving the crap out of the BS hondas on the way out. |

My buddy Alex, part of the Coachella Valley caravan, hooning on the skid pad at Subiefest. He was one of the few that actually knew what they were up to out there... most everyone else was just plowing in circles for their 30 seconds. |
