Default Anyone know of a sub 1,000 mile 2004-2007 STI

Does anyone know if such a car exists? Outside of the black/gold 160 mile car that now resides in germany (spoke with owner - never for sale)

I am looking for a ideally 2,000 mile or less (under 1000 even better) 2004-2007 STI. If the window sticker is still attached that is even better. I am even willing to pay a large finder fee to any lead or contact info that leads to me obtaining my long time dream. Anyone remember the 500 mile 2004 wrb/gold sti that sold by miramar few years back in CA? Had the window sticker and seat plastics and labels still applied. Ideally what i am looking for - NO not looking to buy from BAT (they have not had what I am looking for yet anyways)

Please no negative remarks, No I am not a dealer, and yes I am willing to pay more than any mint STI that has sold on that website, substantially. Figured why not start a discussion about it

Left-hand or right-hand drive doesn't matter?
If I come across any leads in Japan, I can pass them on to you.

buddy of mine from college has a 2004 STI that sits up on a lift that he got new when we graduated.
It's not for sale though since he doesn't exactly need the money.
He's also got a GT3 RS, a McLaren and a Ferrari Italia

Can I ask why it needs to be such low mileage? Why not under 20k? It is after all a 15+ year old car, that's barely any miles.

basically he's looking for a car that was purchased and then put up on blocks the next day and left like that since Bush was president.

Out of the handful of decent condition 04-07's that probably represents 1% of those

basically not happening. Anybody who has that obviously is a collector and isn't going to be selling it

Perhaps a 2007 Limited with an absolute ground-up restoration done by a world-famous shop using as many new parts as possible? It would probably be no more expensive than finding that needle in a haystack you're looking for.

If you only looking at it for a collector piece then it doesn't matter what year it is. You can import a car you never plan to register. People do this with track cars. There's also a specification for show cars that allow for importing as long as they aren't driven more than a certain amount of miles. And since there's no sense in looking for what you describe if you plan to drive it, then you could definitely import one, put it in your garage and stare longingly at it allllllll the time

Ideally want US spec

If I was to import, do you know what box you check on the import declaration forum?

Ok. I thought you were going by snow_bound's logic, since you mentioned speaking to someone in Germany about a potential sale.

I imagine the importer you would go through would know what boxes to check, since that's their job.

If I had the money to look into importing then I'd be in a much different position in life. Have no clue. All I know is that people do it. Best advice I can give is contact one of the companies that imports older vehicles. They'll know how to import for car collection or as show car. I have seen cars like the R34 and a 22B at car shows.

I'm pretty sure you were asking a while ago on here with a couple threads you started with the same requirements. To find a car like what you're looking for you'll need to contact a broker who is aware of many collections in the country as they are generally the ones who set up sales between collectors

I have imported cars from Japan myself in the past. 25 years or older. 22B/R34 are show and display, requires approval and very hard. Iíd like a us spec car anyway

I should have elaborated.
I found a 160 mile 05 obp/gold us spec car in ATlanta. The owner took a position in Germany for work and is now a permanent resident. I finally contacted him to try and obtain the car, but it is not for sale. Ever.

So back to sq 1 hence back to my post

Just have to keep tapping that foot and waiting. They pop up every now and then. I've seen more low mileage '04's this year than ever. If I remember you and see one I'll let you know. Or inbox me on IG got2boostit2 so I have a placeholder.

Hey Rallly 4,

You might want to contact Alex Witkin with Performance Auto Gallery in MD. He has a large Subaru collection (many GDs) and would be a great resource in helping you find an investment grade GD STi.

I am familiar with them. Many of the low mileage cars they have, I have seen when for sale at the time. Thanks for your tip, but Iíd prefer to contact potential owners of these cars through forums or through references from other forum members. That is what they do after all lol! These cars donít grow in trees anyways.

Well guess what? That dealer got the car from An damage auction where insurance doesnít disclose the info. Youíll never find that info on carfax or other history websites because the insurance companies know they loose massive amounts of value if the dealer canít fix and flip without any bad history marks. Hereís the car from that website
