It would be great to have any other 22B pics and or discussions added to this thread. I know there are other 22B owners on here and also any questions, I can try and answer for you I think some good general info is at the beginning of the thread.

Thanks, I am as big a enthusiast as any of you and unfortunately I really daily only have the pictures too..... Oh and the title to it but I can't drive it when I want either.
Anyway if I ever import it then I would be happy to take people for a ride. I will let you all know when I am going back to NZ, I could be talked into giving rides there for sure

I would also like to say thank you for sharing. It's not often that car porn of this caliber turns up around here.

That is about the sum of all of the photos I have other than a few of my wife and the car, but I would definately like to see other 22Bs on here as well. My car needs just a few things, an original Nardi steering wheel, the hood insulator, which I actually bought from the dealership that I got the car from and it arrived damaged and they would not replace it, cost me a lot of money for something I would not fit to a car like that. I replaced the battery when I got to New Zealand and had to fit a security immobilizer for insurance reasons. I replaced the power steering reservoir because it was not in good shape as well as the belt guard ( they both corroded a little from shipping. The dealership also fitted an excedy aftermarket clutch which shudders a little so I plan to replace it with a factory clutch. They are expensive though ( around $3000 +) for complete twin plate clutch from the factory. It is a very clean car and won't take much to get it near perfect!

Thanks, please take a look at my other threads
I try to add photos that are interesting in them also. Lots of F1 and racing pics that you might like to see if you are into that also since I am involved in racing it's hard not to post about it

They didn't go from this to today's cars, they went from a 165hp RS to today's car as the 22b wasn't for sale here nor was it remotely available. The GR is a piggy but it is significant improvement from the GC RS.

sure the US market was only getting the RS but Subaru was making the WRX with many special versions like the type R and RA with lightweight specs. Although they are all a little down on HP and torque to say a version 8 these beauties were very able agile and agressive little performers, speaking of my 22B compared to my USDM 05 STI the 22B is much more responsive, feels much smaller lighter and nimble!
Of course there are good improvements on later model Impreza but those early variations available in other markets were screamers!

The link above is a video of a 22B for sale in Australia, it is a good close up look at a 22B, the sales guy might be a bit annoying but it's a good look at the 22B

Second video is Colin McRae with his 22B, it's a great but short video, well worth watching.

Do you drive this around or just use it as a show car?

Cool car. It would be really cool if you could import it. Only 2 here now(I have seen both in person). Well, really just one(SOAs) since Mr. Heuberger has severely modified his. I am really glad you plan on getting a stock steering wheel back on it. Something just bothers me when a limited production car gets messed with. I hated seeing Blaze Yellow WRXs with body kits and crap.

The Legacy is going to be just as cool as the 22B in many ways. It's worth checking in on build thread Once in a while!

You should search the S201 to S204 They were interesting versions of Impreza.
The WRX STI spec c type rar is my favorite of the later super impreza.
The RB320 Richard Burns memorial edition in UK was a cool car but there are so many special edition spec cars, type RAs etc all well worth looking at!
