pin size hole in header
i just installed a set of aftermarket headers that were slightly used. it had aftermarket uppipe attached. after about 4 hours trying to install them due to corrosion and what not from snow and salt up here i finally got them on. no i have a small problem. i think i have a literally pin size hole in the uppipe right above the flex pipe. i have a buddy who works at a shop should i just get it welded to fix it or any other alternatives. love the headers not loving the faint smell of burnt oil nothing else leaks but out of that hole it does smoke a little. but oil levels/coolant levels ride and everything are find. pretty positive its just that leak in the header causing that small bit of smoke and whoofs of burnt oil. invidia turboback, cobb aP, stage 2 tune, also timing belt/waterpump/oil pump all serviced the day of the maintenance. any help to block the pin size hole would be appreciated

Nope I run 10w-30 Castrol full synthetic with a k&n oil filter. I'll be getting it welded tomorrow just figured I get some help from some scoobie friends to confirm. I'm going in a 1700 mile round trip to SC and back so Wana make sure she is tip top shape.

You realize the "30" in Scotty's question and the "30" in your reponse are the same, right? Might wanna try some better oil, esp. with a trip to warmer lands. If you keep it, watch it every fill up. No joke.

I mean I'll be stopping here and there for an hour or so. And I have no signs of a oil leak. I think the liquid in the headers is just condensation it's like a blackish brown and it's not as thick as oil

Weird I heard horror stories about that I've never had a problem with Castrol but you guys are typically right. I am leaving in am hour I'll be sure to monitor my levels once an hour and not drive harsh

Castillo isn't bad oil, our subaru motors are super picky though and they tend to like the rotella oil |
