I dont see how you would be able to roll down the window. No way is that worth driving around in a submarine.

If the windows roll down, then thats slick.

Dont mind the crappy iphone pic but this was fresh after a wash/wax. Tint is 30% all around but you can get a good sense how dark it can look by using the fence as a comparison. Deff looks dark at night but in direct sunlight it varies...

I think this question is best here. Is it normal for tinters to accidentally slice weather stripping?

I got my windows tinted a few days ago. I noticed a small slice, not all the way through, in the weather stripping that surrounds the outside of the window. The car has 150 miles on it otherwise I really wouldn't care. There are some bubbles too that I don't think will work their way out. Is it a simple fix for the tint place or will they have to redo it if the bubbles don't settle?

Thanks

The outside weather stripping shouldnt even be touched considering the tint goes on the INSIDE of the windows. I have seen a few leave a cut in the glass but it should NOT happen ever if that is there profession. As for the bubbles you would be suprised how many work there way out. But if they dont most tint shops warranty that. They will completely replace that windows tint sheet. Do not hesitate what so ever to take it back if you are unhappy.

The slices are probably the result of the tint shop being careless when trimming the excess tint from the window. I, personally, would complain about it. Also, give the bubbles a few days. Sometimes it takes a while for the solution they use to install the tint to evaporate completely. If the bubbles aren't gone by then, make them redo it.

His car is a 2013 hatch. I believe the weather stripping is also on the inside for his car. (Not like the frameless windows that you and I have).
