I had the xt plate with the sprung copper 6 puck...however the pucks broke into pieces and stuck the the plate and flywheel. had 1500 miles act told me it was from DD it. they also said "that clutch is made to drop and go all day" (even though it broke on the track and I live 3 min. from work with no traffic)

Anyways I went with the full face disk with the xt plate sence I DD my car and they say the 6 puck is not for street driving.

EDIT: Wish I could still use the 6 puck.

Lovely I DD my car as well so hopefully the pucks last, perhaps the XT plate was too much for yours under DD conditions. I was under the impression they advise against DD'ing the 6-puck due to harsh engagement...if it's really because the pucks die, I'll be screwed as well.

I have run daily driven six pucks for years now. No issues... but then again, I don't have ACT 6 pucks... ?

Well, I will not be making down this Saturday due to family issues, 20th college reunion issues, and a best friends 40th birthday party issue, not to mention it will probably rain AND....... tranny is still 15 feet from the wagon.

Either I'm blind, or neither your post, nor the website say what time this starts! What time should we be there?

You shouldn't have any issues mine broke when I launched and became a direct drive system lol and with just the 1st gear launch I ran a 17 sec 1/4 mile and almost won against a mustang Oh good times.

However if it does brake DO NOT tell them you drive it on the street (even though their website says "high power street use") cause that voids any warranty. But I do have to say their customer service is awesome and they took care of it.

EDIT: They said slipping the clutch is what kills the disc however, as you will/have found out they don't slip or at leased mine didn't.

I feel for all of the guys and gals that prepped for this weekend.... but that is actually outstanding news! personally just could not make this event fit into my schedule this weekend...I just returned from the middle east and decided to spend time with family in PA.
Tim, Im back in town now ill give you a call about the details of the next race. Thanks again Surgeline for putting this event together.
