Default Using a usdm ej20 block with jdm ej20 bottom end, whats the block diffrence with sti

Ive got a good deal on some jdm sti parts, crank, bearings, rods, pistons basically the whole bottom end cause the block was dropped and split. I want to use these parts to rebuild my busted ass usdm ej20. What are the major block differences between a 2002 wrx block and an sti block? The deck is different but is that it? Little help

I also have the option of using a jdm wrx engine with avcs instead, but i need to buy an ecu to control the stupid avcs Thoughts?

If the pistons are the right letter code, everything will be a drop in. Just make sure to use new correct bearings, don't reuse the old ones no matter how slightly used.
