Question what does it cost?

what does it cost to fix repair and keep the car in good running order?

Just wondering if it's going to cost me an arm and a leg to get new spark plugs. I can do most of the work myself, giving I have the tools and time, so labor shouldn't be that big of a deal for me.

If you're just asking about changing out spark plugs, it's pretty simple. Don't know what type of car you have though, but on my WRX, it took about an hour. YMMV as this was the first time changing plugs on a horizontal engine for me and I was doing things very slowly and carefully. Plugs should cost you maybe $10-15 or more depending on what you get.

If you're asking about maintenance and service in general, you can check out edmunds.com or KBB.com as I believe they give estimates for annual maintenance costs.
