Post '02 WRX: Differences in track for wagon and sedan

Does anyone know specifically what components of the suspension account for the track measurement differences on the '02 WRX wagon (57.7 F/57.3 R) and sedan (58.5 F/58.3 R)? And, is the 1.8-inch difference in height only because of the roof rails on the wagon, or does the wagon's body sit a little higher?

My dealer says the suspensions and wheels are identical for both, which can't possibly be right.

You know the differences. The dealer doesn't. The performance differences are negligable. Practically identical, I've driven both. The main difference is in the transmissions. Auto or stick. I prefere the 5speed for spirit and reliability. My .02
