Question Need some opinions on turbo timers

I was looking @ ... http://www.optionimports.com/grinin.html

Its the GReddy Intelligent Informeter White Body.

My Car;
Ok I have an 05 cgm sti, I'm currently @ stage II by Cobb

Have i upgraded my Turbo... No, not yet. I can't make up my mind... GT30r or GT35r...
Is it a waste of money to purchase the timer???
Is it just a Bling, or is it nice to have???

Thanks for the help....

I have had TT in my 02 WRX and in my 05 STi. Supposedly SOA says they are not needed since the turbo gets cooled by the coolant after shuting the car off. But for a $99 part, it doesn't hurt. Now, if it was like $399, then I would reconsider.

The dealership told me the same thing. Eeehh, if you got an extra $100 or so bucks laying around, why not?

Yeh, not point in spending $300 on this. just go with the greddy, or apex'i or something if you think you need it (/want to be cool cuz your car runs without the key), theyre only about $80.

if you look at the design of where the coolant hoses run you can see it does cool itself passively after the engine is off. (heat rises!) Personally i don't think a TT is worth it, for the odd occassion you actually are able to shut it down immediately after being in high boost for any length of time, it is easy enough to just let it idle for 30 seconds or so. the vast majority of the time it isn't needed.
