Default WRX 6 disc changer fit in '96 Legacy?

I need a new CD player, as the stock one won't eject CD's anyomore. Anyone know if the stock WRX 6 disc changer will fit? My Legacy is a '96 wagon, w/stock CD+cassette.

Also, will the WRX underseat subwoofer fit as well?

Thanks.

Mark

Default Well it didn't work for me...

Mark,

They physically fit fine but you lose your clock. I couldn't get the one I had to work, but I am not completely sure that the unit itself was okay. It plugs right into the existing harness, but there is some evidence that not all the pins match. If you are feeling a bit adventurous, it can probably be made to work.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to go Best Buy or circuit city and buy a tape deck plus cd changer set. I know pioneer has package deals.
