so i had ordered a roll of alcantara and 1/8' foam because i knew that i wanted to get rid of all of that ugly silver trim.

i spend all night wrapping it all and this might have been one of the trickiest intalls I've ever had to do simply because this was my first time and wrapping curves and corners is incredibly hard. i now understand why JPM coach works stitches in the places they do. this isn't easy but i'm beyond happy with the results. i'll post some real pictures later, here are some cellphone snaps. i wrapped the silver dash pieces, the trim by the AC controls, the shifter surround, the steering wheel plastic, the circle vents, and also the door handles.

just some quick snaps i took. these wheels are temporary while the stockers get painted.

and better interior shots:

and got some more goodies

parked it for the hurricane today. ODO says 997

finished finally tweaking the read fog. swapped all bulbs with LED. debadged, painted rear emblem black/got rid of chrome on the car for the most part gotta bake headlights last.

and here is another something i picked up this week:

had my first oil change! azp installs always treating me good. also sending out for oil analysis at blackstone. can't recommend both of these placed enough. i plan on running motul just like i did on my sti.

alright so my mission to get rid of all chrome is almost complete, baked my headlights today. have yet to see someone do this to a brz. FRS guys have been doing this for a while already.

these are the major two pieces of the headlight.

i hit the blinkers with this:

that way they are black but still maintain the reflective ability like stock.

masked off so that the rest remains gloss black while all the chrome was painted with flat black enamel.

also installed my Hella horns today. finally no more quiet flimsy horns. these things will be heard

these are the led's split with the cover. as you can see all you need to paint is the cover. also anyone who wanted could now overlay the LED strip in any color they would like, might be kind of cool but i decided to keep it clear.

and presto!

i'll get some more shots later. this took me and my buddy ALL DAY. if anyone will do this, just take your time and be patient especially with paint drying. trust me you dont want to rush this.

YEAH SON!!!!!!

Explain this "fog light mod" more, please. I keep forgetting that I want to activate that thing. We found the hole for it while swapping the reverse lights.

I put up a Craigslist ad for a trunk swap with an FR-S ASAP.

I'll do my best to not think of this as a Mod Race since I'm starting out on a budget at the moment.

I just hope you make the rear fog light a real fog light and not on with parking lights. If you've ever driven behind someone with that on in clear weather at night, it's annoying as hell (a true rear fog light is bright like a brake light).

That said, I think it's dumb that US requires giant crash beams and all this other junk, but they don't care 2 craps about the rear fog light, while other countries require it. I wanna talk to whoever is in charge!

Chano - European and Japanese markets have a lamp in that spot. I think they have a different steering column stalk for the switch, but haven't seen it personally. It could easily be rigged up next to the trunk button.

Oh, regarding the overlays...wrapping those tail lights is a huge PITA. My installer is sick of my car by now. We ended up doing them in 2 pieces, one over the flat top and the other is the back and wraps around the side. The little fins will drive you insane, use lots of that 3M primer!

I know what the rear fog light is from having a 2011 WRX sedan. "Explain" meant "what's being done about it?" in Chanoese.

Those little fins on the tail lights suck! WHHHYYY???!!!

i'm not wrapping my tails, some one else will

Rad! I just ordered like every LED they have for the BRZ. I want a funny box too!

I'd totally get one of those front plate mounts...if I had any intention of putting a front plate on.

I know what you mean about tailgaters. I always played with the idea of installing crazy bright lights in a reverse light housing so I could just flash them at people being total dicks. But I'd probably just get myself put in jail for causing an accident.

Now, when you say you "HAVE to run a front plate", does that just mean by law? Or does law enforcement actually go out of their way to enforce that law? I ask because I don't plan on putting up my front plates, but by law we're supposed to. Law enforcement is hit or miss about it, though. It totally depends on timing and mood.

If I get pulled over I plan on playing the dumb girl "Oh I'm sorry officer...I was wondering why they gave me an extra one!!! When I picked up the plates a couple months ago I couldn't figure out where to attach it! Do you think you could show me how to put it on maybe?"

And then after 10 minutes searching for the drill holes in my front bumper that don't exist I'm sure he'll let me go. ;-)

I'll be screwed if it's a girl cop though O_O

Nah. I play the "you were wrong for pulling me over" card and get away.

I wish I ordered enough stuff online to make requests in the comment box. I'm jealous.

hahaha Nawww. No Race Card. The last time I told him he was wrong about me NOT using my blinker to switch lanes, since I ALWAYS use my blinker. I don't like that liability of something happening because I didn't use my blinker. I assume most drivers are cows, so I try to give them heads up before making any moves.

Well, if the cops aren't particularly chasing imports for not having front plates then I wouldn't worry about it until something actually happened.

That was a sick looking STi. I kinda miss mine but I do love my BRZ. Its a blast to drive anywhere and I am loving the 29-32 mpg that I've been averaging per tank. Thanks to Chanomatik, my window's work properly again Im curious to see any performance mods you do to it and how it works. The BRZ it pretty quick but not the same kind of quick that my STi was. Could use a little more. Anyways, congrats on the car and hope to hear more about it. The rear fog light information as well
