Guess I should have checked before saying anything as the listing is no longer available.

No problem. I just know his car had some issues, though I thought he fixed most of them.

It was a 2001 996 TT, black on black. It was the only other car in the 32K price range that I checked out. No idea if it was sold but I was willing to share what I had learned.

Attended C&C last weekend, spotted first 991.2 GT3 in the wild. Gorgeous car, and a manual to boot.

All the current gen GT (GT3, GT3RS, GT4) cars do that chicken wire treatment.

Which is completely disgusting, I can't believe Porsche went with that.

What's the best source to sell? Not sure that I want to go to craigslist if the time comes.

I've reached out to the dealer to see if they want to buy my car back and go the CPO route, but not sure what other options I should explore if it comes to it. Rennlist? Autotrader? BAT?

Specs? BAT might be your best bet. or rennlist second.

Completely stock '16 Carrara White Metallic GT4. Low optioned: red seat belts and stitching, buckets, I think that's about it as for cost options. Roughly 4200 miles(?).

Never sold anything on BAT, but have seen that a few GT4s have gone there.

Sale primarily driven by potential international relocation. So, I'm open to other options that don't include taking it with me. ...garaging a car for ~3 years doesn't make much sense to me. As it stands, I hardly ever drive it. The motorcycle gets faaar more miles and the truck is the bad weather commuter.

Give it to my family to sit on instead?

I'd only keep a car in storage for three years if it was a forever car. It's a first run GT4...sell it, buy the next similar model when you come back.

BAT seems to be a great low cost way to sell a cool or unique car.

They take 5% from the buyer, not so cheap. Throw it on rennlist, if it's priced fairly it'll sell quickly.

Seriously... Are they really selling GT4's for $85k? You can't even buy a new Cayman S for that anymore. I don't think I would let mine go for less than $100k. If so I would just keep it forever.

Cayman buyer's guide?

Drove one at Lime Rock some years back and consider it the best all-around driver, ever. Probably don't want to spend more than $40,000. Not sure about generational changes, issues, and if I really want the S.

My brother lives in TX and friends live in San Diego, so there's the possibility of buying one out there: although most around here are not driven in winter.

Father recently purchased a 2013 Boxster S with a 6spd. Really wanted a Cayman S but couldn't justify 10k-15k more for a comparable Cayman S. The more I drive the car, the more I love it. I don't think you can get a better car for the price.

We drove a first gen Cayman S and this boxster is better in every category, I don't know if I could do an older one unless it was going to be a caged track car.
