What's the difference between the mechanical and the membrane option?

I may still have it laying around somewhere if you want it. Has maybe 20 minutes worth of use on it

Razer was down the street from my office. My coworker knows someone there and they gave me an RMA'd membrane one. One key was sticking which I fixed and it worked fine. Then I decided to sell that one and get the mechanical and it was noticeably better.

Its like masturbating with bare hand, and bare hand with lube. It just feels so much better. I love my G910. They are not Cherry brand keys, but I like them more. I got cherry browns at work and still prefer the Logitech ones. |

Yeah, maybe years ago. I think it was a Logitech G10 or something or other. Was pretty awesome...until I was hosting a party and some jackhole spilled beer on it and I didn't find out until later that it was toast. (I didn't realize there was a word for the non-mechanical ones.) |

Starting to look for a NAS option. Nothing too fancy, nothing too huge. What happened to being able to buy a 3.5" disk, throwing it in an ethernet/usb enabled enclosure and plugging it in to the back of your WRT 54G?
While the $800 - $2000+ options would look fancy in my office, I really dont give a crap about anything other than having 4 networked laptop and a Note 5 having access to a few Tb's of encrypted data for as cheap as possible. |

Think that would handle 150gb+ sized files?

You can still do that, it's generally much slower than having a standalone unit.

I've been using a 3TB mycloud to do a nightly robocopy backup for about 3 years. Damn thing has been reliable. Unfortunately its almost full so I'm going to replace it with a 6TB version.

Work: I would do one of those synaptics with 4 bays Pleasure: Self built PC, unraid or some like that, and some 4 tb drives in it. UK gone wild: Dont care about redundancy or even the data in the NAS? Then a simple cloud storage like mycloud could work. |

Honestly a bit of both.
I work from home a lot where I design, then I work from the office in the factory where I build those designs but sometimes work on them too. I have 2 laptops here and 2 at work, 1 laptop and the Note travel between the two. The NAS would probably be at home just to rule out the higher chance of fire at the factory. I'd need to be able to access and modify any stored data from each location and I wouldn't mind having a separate folder where I can store torrents and stream to my TV because why not? Although that is a very low priority. On the Myclouds, I feature creeped to the 4100 but I dont want to spend 4 figures on this. Maybe used? |

Their 4 bay case comes with a power supply, all you need is a mITX board, the usual, and to decide on an OS (which can be it's own undertaking). I went with their 8 bay case (doesn't include a power supply) with unraid and have been very happy with it, HDD temps are great too. Unraid can run a bunch of dockers, OwnCloud or VMs, pretty flexible. |

Still not worth it...
The p2715q that's on sale for $400 is a much better buy. |

I have 4 of them.
I owned a ds2716g for about a week before I dumped it. It looks worst than any other monitor I have seen in years. It literally looks like a rainbow unicorn **** on the screen. It had some nasty ghosting issues at 144p while using it for normal things(web browsing, etc) I spent hours tweaking the settings to get it close to normal, and it still looked like crap. 144hz/gsync did not make any significant difference in any of the games I played. If you want 144hz/gsync go with one of the better monitors that don't have a long history issues. |

I use that monitor for gaming, nice looks fine. I use nicer IPS models at work so I'm aware of the difference but mine doesn't have any significant issues, that you're mentioning.
