Dude you only have to be 18 to purchase a rifle/shotgun and the ammo for it. Hell some places will even sell you pistol ammo if you say its for a rifle. Plus you could always give us the ammo money and we can buy the stuff.

Plus when we take you out we will probably start you off on the .22s. Really accurate, low recoil and really cheap to shoot. Perfect for learning the basics and not developing a flinch.

Be interesting to have a SWIC airsoft team (like paintball but without the mess) especially for CQB.
Id be down for an airsoft team. Gotta get a gun first. Maybe if someone buys a certain set of cheap wheels for sale. hint hint hint

What level of experience does everybody here have with all these weapons? Just curious. I am coming to Phoenix next week and would love to play, but wont have any weapons there. Would contribute to cost/ ammo though...

Anybody interested in a stainless mini-14 with a Butler Creek synthetic stock (still have the original wood stock also) and B-Square scope mount? Very gently used...

BAH!!! I was looking for one for one of these, but i found i can get a AK-47 from J&G for quite a bit cheaper. plus, ammo is cheaper, and if theyre both inaccurate then f*uck it, might as well get the AK i've always wanted. but anyways, HOW MUCH??

Looking to get $600... Very few rounds through it. I bought an AR-15 right after I got the mini and basically never shot it again...

I'm sure someone will take it off your hands if you put it on "backpage.com", I see people all the time looking for those.

You could probably get someone to trade fairly quickly too.

I have a few spares, nothing fancy but Fightertown (out by Speedworld) has bi-weekly Airsoft events:

I know all the paintball guys pick on airsoft guys, but getting all camo'd up and using realistic looking guns looks fun as hell.

I've alwasy been a paintbal guy, but airsoft definitely looks fun, but how do you know you're hit? Is it just the honor system or.......

Judging by the paint, and by what I've heard, they make mini paintballs that work in airsoft guns..

It's the honor system. Those paint marks are from paintball guns.

I worked with a guy that was HUGE into airsoft. He'd take a week off ever year for some gigantic airsoft thing they had on some farm in California. The pictures and video's he brought back made it look like a blast, but I'm still torn on if I'd feel like a homo playing with a bunch of nerds. (or the 400+lbs dude who pours himself into a 'tactical vest')

It's definitely a good exercise in using strategy/stealth as the range on an airsoft pellet is not that good when you compare visibility to range.

Using airsoft for CQB probably has more benefit, because at those distances it's more of a question of who has the better position or angle.

Two guys shooting at each other from cover at 50 yards is an exercise in futility, making flanking all that more important.

While airsoft usually involves small, plastic BBs, there are actually 6mm paintballs that can be used in lieu of the typical plastic BBs. So during these training exercises, you can still get the splat of a paintball to accurately identify where a team member has been hit, as well as getting the real life action of the airsoft gun.
http://www.articlesbase.com/extreme-...ng-459930.html

Why would they not use paintballs on a field like that?

I don't understand how you would feel the pellets with all that clothing/padding on, they look like riot police!

You will hear it/feel it...engagement ranges are usually around 100-150 feet. Only sniper rifles have further range (maybe 200 feet or so).

Fightertown is primarily used for paintball but some airsoft teams arrange events there too. There used to be a place called CQB on the eastside but it is closed at the moment due to a new location/expansion.

So I'll be out that way around the march 15th for two weeks.
And I just pushed the subaru around to the driveway to get cleaned up for a new engine.
