^ i hope you had a friend, or adventurous SO, to help you with that bottle. I haven't tried that yet but have heard it is huge but deceivingly smooth for such a high ABV.

Finally got ahold of some 2011 Mad Elf last week. IMO it was lacking the complexity and refinement it had in previous years. I'll hold a few aside to try again next year, but this year was disappoint.

If you can get it, Hop Stoopid would make an awesome keg. The hops they put in it reminds me of mangos. One of my favorite IPAs.

Yeah, shared it with a friend. This is the 3rd bottle I've had so far.

It is delicious, but very sweet and boozy. Great sipper, and pairs really well with cheese.

The 100% Barrel Aged version is much better than the regular Cuir

Cracked a Lost Abbey, Serpents Stout open last night, it was aged for a little over a year and fantastic tasting. Very well developed.

had one of these tonight..Atlantic Brewing Company Brother Bragget's honey ale..type of barleywine..only a few left in my fridge from summer stock..tastes different every year due to the fact that it's made with so much honey so whatever the bees produce gives each batch a bit of different flavoring..11%...but I had an aged one from 4 years ago..apparently gains 1% every year of aging

Sweetwater goulash. There was a Dank Tank tasting tonight but I missed it... So I'm just going to buy a glass of each.

My local Costco (San Antonio) has Rogue Dead Guy Ale on sale for $28.99 a case! I decided to pick up two cases, almost regretting not getting three or four honestly...

No bottled alcohol gets stronger with age. If fermentation was taking place, the cap would have blown off a long time ago.

If it started at 11%, it is still 11%.

Unless it still has sugars and yeast in the bottle. it will get somewhat stronger. A.k.a. Bottle conditioned. This is also a way to develop carbonation.

Even then, your primary fermentation is done. You'll maybe see .25% at most, but after the sugars are consumed fermentation is complete.

I've carbed many a bottle with priming sugar, but it is such a small amount of sugar per bottle that alcohol change is negligible.

was in Midland, Mi for Thanksgiving. The Father in law took me to the Midland Brewing Company.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of brew they had there.

Natty Light? Time to get this back on track:

A British beer I've never had before. It was pretty good.

Pretty sour for my tastes, but pretty good.

Got a growler of the Breckenridge 471 Small Batch Imperial/Double IPA last night. I am really enjoying it. Nice floral aroma, and the nice citrus almost piney taste that I love in hoppy beers. Gave it a 4 out of 5.

A little hoppy for my tastes, reminiscent of an IPA.

The bad elf isn't to bad. I picked up a bottle of the Breckinridge ipa a few months back, it was pretty good but to expensive for a bottle. Working night shift really puts a damper on my beer drinking, but I do have a place close to work with a good bottle selection so I stop there once a week and get $40 worth of stuff, my closet is starting to pile up with beers now. :-)

Been drinking the hell out of this lately, Old Rasputin Imperial Stout. It's been on sale $7.89 for a 4 pack.

Also putting one of these away tonight, 22 of The Maharaja Imperial IPA
