Weird that I have been quoted twice in this thread, but I apparently wasn't subscribed.

Needed a brown ale for making beer batter, so picked up a sixer of:

I'm surprised that I haven't had their brown before. It's quite good.

I'm finally drinking this RIS tonight! I really hope I can grab another bottle or two and actually save one for a year or two.

i've been lax posting --- here are some recent ones.

1 Pete's Brown (Tribute Ale) - american style brown ale. loved it. amazingly perfectly an 'merican brown with hops. weird i know but more or less the prefect drinking beer for my tastes. and 4.99 (for now) at my local piggy wiggly

2 Allagash Hugh Malone - a splurge for me. very pricey. was a juicy west coast sort of an ipa. a really really nice beer but not worth the money for my taste bud level of sophistication...(and that head faded quick

3 Backburner (Imperial Barley Wine Style Ale) - yuck. never tried a barley wine style before but was not my cup of ... i don't know. :| this is probably a good example of the style for those that like it. very sweet and very malty.

Most Barleywines are much better with a good bit of age on them. I was fairly unimpressed with Old Crustacean the first time that I had it, but after letting another bottle cellar for 6 years, MMmmmmmmm mmmmm!

This thread has the wrong title. It should be the "Beer Sippers Thread".

How many pints of 6% ABV and stronger can you drink and still enjoy?

6% is Natty Ice, it's the 10% and up that gets me now...

Man up biatch. Even after several, I enjoy every sip. That's like saying you can't really enjoy nice scotch as a night cap after some drinking.

Made it to the beer shop today.

Picked up some Mad Elf and 2008 Lou Pepe Geueze

Some beers I had tonight that I haven't posted yet:

I like this. Great classic British winter warmer.

Despite its dark color, has a similar hoppy flavor to many of the other Stone brews in the "bastard" line.

ok, the Pretty Things keg just kicked.

I need suggestions for what new 1/6th keg to get next. Ordering tomorrow.

We usually get IPAs or pale ales, so a nice lager would be good. Of course, on the radar are a bunch of IPAs. Like Maine Brewing Peepers Ale, Racer 5, or GreenFlash.

I haven't had it in the bottle yet, but have had on draft. Not quite as sweet as it was before.

Lagunitas Sucks. Get it while it's available and thank me later.

Good luck finding it. Cantillon stuff is impossible to find around me, and the Lou Pepe Geueze is one of the most popular. Missed out on Fou Foune this year, as my store only got 6 bottles.

Went to Cuvee De Castleton release on Saturday, and it was a **** show. We got tickets at 2:30AM and, I was the only one out of 4 people to get bottles. Didn't get either Barrel Select, which were only given to the first 120 ticket holders.

Ya, jerk.

Picked up a Cantillon 2007 Iris and a bunch of Sixpoint Diesel. The diesel is pretty good, some say it drinks more like a black IPA, which I tend to agree because of it's roasty hoppiness. That said, when drank out of the can, it's drinks like a porter/stout. I don't know, but it's certainly an awesome stout in a can, although not quite Ten Fidy.

Dangit, Lagunitas only comes in 1/2 barrels.

Settled on Southern Tier IPA, with the Krampus on a watch list.

Now drinking a 2010 Founders Imperial Stout... Certainly confirms why people consider the Diesel as a black IPA haha
