That's a handsome can. Can't make out the name, though. What is it?

SilencerCo White Sparrow. I've also got a normal Sparrow about a month behind this one.
Here it is on my S&W 422. I've got an adapter for the 622VR as well....somewhere in my toolbox. |

I picked up an 3.3" XDS .45 about a month ago and love it! It seems now that the 4.0" XDS is out, Springfield is starting to do some deals on them. I picked mine up for $425, and it included the 'Essentials' kit. |

I bought a beat up one to get plated and came across the stainless one at the LGS for $50 more than I could get for the beat up one. Score!

Also have a 1944 Remington (different company) M1911A1. We still carried them when I was in the Army. We could buy ball ammo at the on-post Rod & Gun club for $5 a box. |

And here's some trivia. When Springfield Armory developed the M1903, they were sued by Mauser for patent infringement. Mauser won, and we paid a royalty on each rifle until WWI.
The Germans fielded the 7.92x57 cartridge in 1905. In 1906 SA developed The 7.62x63, AKA .30.06. After WWII there was a desire to standardize rifle ammo across NATO. The simplest approach turned out to be shortening the 30.06 cartridge to 51mm as the .30-06 had excess space not required by modern powders. Even more trivial: the M1 Garand was originally developed for the .276 Pedersen and the clip held 10 rounds. Army Chief of Staff Douglas MacArthur decreed it fire the .30-06 because we had two billion rounds in inventory. |

picked up my POF MP5K today. got to shoot it too.
I like it a bunch. It shoot really softly. I went ahead and filed my form 1. Also ordered a 4 position collapsible stock, the vertical foregrip front end and an extended charging handle for it. I may replace the tirgger pack with a navy trigger, but not until i shoot it a bunch more. it is WAY too easy to chip through a mag with it. it is gonna be awesome once my stamp comes back! damn. I hear that the Form 3s have stretched out to 6 weeks now too. I guess there's been a serious uptake in form submittals since the folks that loan money to the gov't finally got paid back. |

Went out to Steel Challenge today. Only 2 seconds faster than last time (December, cold & rainy, first time) and I was about 10 seconds slower on each 5 To Go and Pendulum, but picked up ~18 seconds on Speed Option.
Form 3. Dealer to dealer transfer that occurs before the Form 4. |

Submitting my first form 1 tomorrow (efile). Finally decided to get the ball rolling in fear of them no longer allowing trust to submit form 1 without a CLEO sign off which mine said he will not sign. AR15.com efile thread looks like 6-7 weeks current turn around. Now I need to start buying parts...

a 9 month form 4 is ridonkulous! My last 3 were about 3 months ( give or take a couple weeks). was your 9 month form 4 an individual form, or a trust form? Within the next 45 days, I should have my Mist, Specwar and tavor can back. I have a cheapo huntertown arms 22 can coming that i picked up because is was cheap. ( FFL got a smokin deal on like 40 of em). ATF is dicking around with form 3s, so my dealer doesn't even have my Omega, Gemtech 300BLK or FDE Octane 45 yet, which blows. I also have an OSS mission 7.62 that was ordered about a month ago. the last can that I'm going to pick up this year is a thunderbeast ultra 9CB. As a businessperson, I can't comprehend why the ATF isnt hiring like crazy. Each examiner usually gets through 100 forms per day, 500 per week . If its a form 4... 200 x 100 x 5. $100,000 in tax revenue per examiner, per week. Per year, each examiner can help the Gov't collect 4.8 million bucks. I'll bet they pay examiners 60K a year. Why would you not have an army of examiners? So much for efficiency. |

Ya cant expect linearity at such a fresh level. Forget the seconds and focus on improving core tactics. Were you able to befriend anyone there? It is almost impossible to be objectively critical of yourself.

Of course! Lots of familiar faces from last time. Picked up some tips for Accelerator that worked well, otherwise still learning the ways to shoot the stages while working on fundamentals. Went a little fast today and lost trigger/grip, but much less so than lost time. Really got point shooting practice on Smoke & Hope.
Watched a video of me that a compadre took. I do some awkward **** with my support hand when I draw - that's somewhere I need practice. |
