On my 455 I needed really high scope rings to clear the bolt handle. I didn't know at first and had a lower set and the bolt kept hitting my scope every time.

The first set i ordered was lower and didnt have a chance unless i ran an an air rifle scope. They need to either redesign the stock or alter the bolt swing. Im keeping an eye out for an oem 455 tactical/varmint stock.

Ended up getting this mount

worked perfectly
All those things. I do want to get a riser or alternate stock as the chinweld statement is kinda true.
Was also thinking of pulling the scope and putting it on a bolt-action 22.

I really like it as well. I have a feeling this is going to get much more expensive because I am going to like shooting this one so much. If so, I have 2 other M&Ps to send off for work.

Short list is: red charging handle, trigger and spring, and a votretx venom red dot already have a sb brace

Long list is: carbine length handguard and an omega 9K <-- would be on the "short" list but the rear end in m jeep needs a rebuild so there goes that money

Some months ago I bought a SureFire x-300 ultra. Or super ultra, or something like that. It's huge, and bright. I put it on my Glock 21 that I keep in a little safe by the bed.

Fast forward to this weekend and I took my 26 and 21 to the range since I figure I keep these for defense, but never end up shooting them. The 21 with the light on the front seems to have less recoil than the 26.

It's the extra weight of the light.

Decent quick vid with really good audio - almost never heard sounds like this from gun vids (tho it does seem slightly out of sync at end.

Have any of you guys tried the barrels from Larue? They're on sale, and I'm still not happy with this ballistic advantage barrel.

My 20" Larue seems to do all right, but I wish I'd gone with a White Oak 20" SDM. Larue does ~1 MOA at 100yd with 10rd of quality ammo and my skill. Worth noting that White Oak SPR barrels will be $80 off Nov. 23rd-27th: https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/spr...7-8-twist.html

Unless there's a reason you don't want an 18" SPR barrel, I'd get the White Oak.

My biggest problem is trying to chase value. The Larue barrels are on sale for $170. A $300-$400+ barrel would be great, but I've got kids, a mortgage, etc. etc.

Just like I'd love to have a custom $5k rifle with a $3k scope and an $1800 range finder and $3k spotting scope. Instead I'm ****ing around with a $450 savage with a $550 scope, a $200 range finder, and a $120 spotting scope.

$170 + $20 for M4 feed ramps. The barrel I linked will be $195 on Friday and I would much rather have a White Oak than a Larue; if it doesn't shoot for that extra $5, I'll buy it off you for what you paid. Get it in 1:8 twist with rifle gas, I promise it'll shoot.
