putting the license in the windshield like that is illegal, tacky, and unsafe. in CA you would get ticketed in a second

In CA you've got more problems to worry about than windshield placed license plates....

kidding..

I agree for the most part... but i'm not gonna act like him doing that is somehow effecting how the rest of my day is going to go

I wouldn't go that far... The only location restriction for the front plate (that I could find*) is that it cannot be higher than 60" off the ground. So technically it is legal. However I doubt most cops will see it because they won't look for it in the windshield.

Even then I doubt you would get pulled over for it, unless there are some other things that the cop finds suspicious and is looking for a reason to make a stop.

I also don't see how that would be a safety concern if it is securely mounted.

Because it can totally launch off at such a high rate of speed and slice your jugular vein wide open, causing you to bleed out and raise everyone's insurance premiums

if you swapped a 2:1 final drive in, and got in a 60mph accident in reverse, you might be able to smack the passenger with the license plate.

The issue is not front end collision. The issue is rollover and other crazy impacts

Shut up.

Complaining about off topic posts only continues the off topic path. Just so it's clear.

You ever get pulled for having stickers on the windshield? I know quite a few states have laws about that.....

I was more so going by the whole huge ass sticker in the windshield thing. I've heard of ppl getting tickets for stickers smaller than those look to be.
