![]() Hi, looks like my ECU is bad so I ordered a used ecu that comes with the ignition and key as well as the Immobilizer module and interment cluster. Is it as straight forward as plug and play to just swap all the parts over since it was off of an 08 STI? I know that my vin number will show up differently but I live in a state that doesn’t require inspection.
Thanks in advance

![]() I have an 04 STi and I recently swapped ECUs by just uninstalling my accessport on the old one, plugging the new one in and installing the accessport.
However, my 04 does not have the immobilizer. With that being said, I think if you swap the ecu along with the immobilizer module and everything else linked to that ecu you shouldn't have a problem |

![]() You can also just build an immobilizer clone rig as discussed here, and only have to swap the ECU. Worked for me, and I bundled up all the Windows instructions and put em up.

![]() Thanks for the info! The part I ordered comes with the cluster, key with ignition, ecu and the Immobilizer box. I will just swap all of it and then hopefully my car starts. I will have to figure out a work around since one key will start the car and the other one will lock and unlock it.
