Default Questions on shifting at track

One of these days I'd like to take my toy to the strip. After an E-85 tune and fueling modifications, my car makes about 50whp/70wtq than my original tune.

Running through a jdm non-dccd six speed (which means shifting into 3rd at about 53mph), the car on gasoline put down 0-60 times of between 3.6-3.7 seconds. The new setup runs about a 3.9. The car indeed has more power as the 50-100 time has decreased from 5.6 seconds to 4.6 seconds.

The car is simply spinning the tires, both on the initial clutch let-out and again on the 1-2 shift. Tires are Michelin Pilot SS, 225-ZR17's all around. Typically I rev the car to about 5k before letting the clutch out. I do not dump the clutch, yet this all seems too much in light of the extra power.

I don't really launch the car much, so I'm asking for someone with experience to chime in, versus trying a bunch of trial and error. Thanks in advance!

For drag advice I'd advise asking in the Proven Power Bragging forum, as there's more drag racing discussion there.
