Great thread

Dear aluminum wing fart can Honda,

First encounter you should be thanking your lucky stars you got boxed in next to me and didn't get a chance to prove yourself because that cop sitting around the corner would have nailed you.

Encounter two, hopefully the last because your pathetic. I appreciate you slowing down and braking in some sort of lets race code but it's not happening. We don't need to embarrass you in front of your gf. And thanks for saying hi at the next light but no I will not "get you on the highway" have a nice day
Sincerely, just because I have a wrx doesn't mean I want to race your pos

Dear slammed and stanced Civic Si,
If you weren't slammed and stanced, you wouldn't have such trouble getting into, through, and out of the Dunkin drive through.

There used to be a big ridge of an expansion joint on 93S heading towards the Zakim. I would get behind one of these guys in the OBW, then accelerate around them about 100 yards from it. They would always take the bait and speed up, just in time to hit the expansion joint. It was awesome: never saw any parts fly off but they sure beat up those fender wells!

This is pretty interesting: states with the most-hated drivers and the drivers that hate them the most. Not quite what I expected as I figured NY, NJ, and MA would be easy top-3. Not quite.

http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/...-by-state.html

Most-hated drivers and the states that hate them the most:

1. Idaho (Arizona)
2. Washington DC (Maryland)
3. New York (California)
4. Wyoming (Montana)
5. Massachusetts (New Hampshire)
6. Delaware (tie) (Georgia)
6. Vermont (California)
8. New Jersey (New York)
9. Nevada (California)
10. Utah (California)
14. Rhode Island (Massachusetts)
48. New Hampshire (Minnesota)
50. Maine (Maryland).

When it comes to hatin', California is #1, with the "most hatred" of nine other states. Texas is a distant second with four.

When it comes to most hated cars, BMW dominates with 41%. Audi us second at 13% and Honda 10%. Everyone else is "also-ran."

When it comes to worst drivers by frequency of accidents, Massachusetts is the big loser. Of 200 "urban areas," MA has three in the bottom 10.

190 New Haven, CT
191 San Francisco, CA
192 Philadelphia, PA
193 Los Angeles, CA
194 Providence, RI
195 Glendale, CA
196 Springfield, MA
197 Washington, DC
198 Baltimore, MD
199 Worcester, MA
200 Boston, MA

You'd think this would drive insurance rates, but the traffic density limits speed and thus the repair costs are fairly low. So Boston rates are just about average.

1. Detroit-Warren-Ann Arbor, Mich., 165%
2. New York-Newark, N.Y.- N.J.-Conn.-Pa., 36%
8. Philadelphia-Reading-Camden, Pa.-N.J.-Del.-Md., 10%
12. Boston-Worcester-Providence, Ma.-R.I.-N.H.-Conn., 2%

Even taken by state, we don't have it so bad.

National average $1325
1 Michigan $2738
2 Montana $2297
3 New Jersey $1905
10 Rhode Island $1608
17 Connecticut $1367
21 Massachusetts $1325
40 New York $1050
46 Vermont $942
47 New Hampshire $941
51 Maine $808

I'm not surprised at all at #5.
I am slightly surprised at the accident rates for Providence, until I remember the cluster **** that is 6/Downtown to 95N and 146.

Note the decal, which says, "Check one. Be kind to animals. Burn in hell." Based on traffic behavior, she's an all-around "Burn in hell" kind of gal.

So this is pretty hilarious. This morning who do we pull up next to at a stoplight? The woman above.

I roll down the window and say, "Good morning!" She rolls down her window with a puzzled look, but says good morning. I said, "We're the car you were beeping at two weeks ago!" She replied that she was trying to save time so she wouldn't be late for work. I said, "Well, I hope you make it on time, today!"

She did the same bull**** as before - weaving in and out of lanes for several miles. At the last light before we turned off, she was one car ahead of us.

dear 2003 g35 coupe,

Please don't make your own lane at a stoplight to try and beat me onto the highway. While I must admit it was fun dragging your ass since I have an 07 g35, I just can't believe you actually though you had a chance ....and by the way, I was in Intelligent mode the enitre time.

Dear shiny Audi S7,

Your rapid 2 & 3 lane changes and speed are quite impressive, especially in flowing traffic. But you failed to navigate around that tire in the lane, and now find yourself with two blown tires on the side of the road. I wish you the best of luck, and hope the quick toot of my horn as I pass you are comforting.

PS. Your blinkers don't work

Dear Lyft driver,

Do you have any idea how uncomfortable it is to sit in the back seat of your car as you drove at 50 mph in the LH of three lanes on a stretch of Route 1 where traffic usually flows 60-70?

Saw him weaving in my mirror. I looked ahead and saw the tire. I just knew he was going to hit it and he did not disappoint.

Dear toyota Corolla going 12 in a 30...
Don't flip me off when I pass you in the center turn lane, then ride my bumper until I turn onto my street...You also stopped at the roundabout merge with no cars coming, so I didn't really expect much out of you..

Dear Mercedes SUV driver:
You really must be pissing your pants, seeing that you are passing anyone not doing 55 in a 35mph road, and on a double yellow road too.

Some people have no patience.

Dear giant lifted truck,
Don't stop in at an intersection with no stop sign, and wonder why I honk at you. Then when I followed you when you turned right, don't assume I want to have a conversation, and stop in the middle of the street and stare at me in your side mirrors...I just want you to keep moving so I can go home.

Dear Honda SUV driver,

We were side-by-side at a traffic light, both turning left. Just because I was on the right side of you, doesn't mean I wasn't allowed to turn left (both lanes have a left arrow painted on the ground). And just because i got ahead of you when we then merged into one lane later, it doesn't mean you can get mad, follow me so close that I can't see you flashing your high beams at me, only from my side mirror, or when you tried to go around me in the oncoming traffic lane (which i kind of blocked you from completing). Oh and thank you for pulling up next to me when we got to the next stop light and yelling that I was lucky you didn't kill me right then and there. Oh yea, plus when you decided to pull out and follow me closely again for 2 miles flashing your high beams at me, i was actually driving to the police station to see if you'd follow me all the way there.

Smootches.

p.s. - You called me fat after threatening to kill me. That hurt a little.

Dear Buick driver,
Thank you for rear ending me doing 40 mph while stopped at a traffic light. Because of your horrible driving skills and inability to pay attention to the road you totaled my brand new 18' WRX with only 4600 on the odometer. Your excuse of not having " brakes " is almost pathetic as your driving skills. Good luck getting mommy and daddy to let you drive the vehicle they will have to replace because you totaled theirs also.

Yeah I am ok nothing serious, mostly just stiff / sore. The worst part is that I didn't have gap coverage, so I lost money on the 18'. But in the end I was able to find a used 15' base model in great shape, with a lifetime power train warranty .
