Default Dear SOA

If you introduce the new WRX exactly as the WRX Concept 2013 that will be graeat!
It is lighter (less than 1350 kg) and smaller than the WRX 2012, with at least 270 HP in the WRX version and at least 320 HP in the STI version. Bring direct injection turbo engine with its lower fuel consumption, do not forget the bucket seats and a nice dashboard with symmetrical design. Keep the 4 door please.

You honestly think a sub 3,000 car with AWD is possible with today's safety requirements?

Not going to happen.

Dear SOA , I own a 2012 Impreza 4 door sedan premium model . I like the car but it has a lot of interior noise . Please put sound deadening in the newer Imprezas .

Dear SOA, whatever you decide to make to replace the Tribeca, please put in a big sunroof (like the Forester, or bigger). I really like the sunroof in the Audi Q7.

Edit: Some pics for reference

Yes! (Miss the dual-pane in the Outback as well.)

dear SOA.

Please have a hatch wrx in the lineup for 2015. I am a professional photographer that hauls tons of gear to all of my sessions, and prefer to have fun while driving. I am also a member of NSP and would like to continue my support of Subaru. (as you can see from the picture below, I am one of the many in my region. This is a small group of the total of Subie drivers we have)

I plan on replacing my 02 wrx wagon in late next year and the thought of not having a comparable replacement worries me.

Automatic or cvt are not an option
hatch or wagon only
over 250whp
awd

so my requirements make my choices pretty limited for a car under $35K.

Please... keep the hatch!

I was thinking a play on "Legacy Revolution" would be "Revolution Legacy" or "Revel". The Subaru Revel Wagon. A proper WRX hatch/wagon, Legacy GT/wagon, Forester XT MT replacement could all be swooped up in this new Levorg wagon. I'm sure you know this, so just make it happen here.

I think it's also smart because people that want a WRX wagon without WRX insurance rates would welcome an all-new performance wagon. You might also benefit from dropping the WRX name entirely since you're no longer involved in World Rally and they're way more street-friendly then ever, but I know this to be blasphemy!

Default WRX hatch or wagon, or Levorg for me as well...

I have an 04 WRX wagon with Cobb Stage 2, Cobb front and rear antisway and Kartboy solid endlinks. I have had absolutely no problems and am still on my original clutch. Running Bridgestone RE-11, some track days, and bulletproof reliability. All the while being able to stuff large numbers of items in the back of my car at will.......Soooooo, I am interested in basically getting the same kind of thing in the future as I will be replacing this soon.

I am beginning to despair that although Subaru is still building cars that I like, SOA will not bring them here.

I fear that if there is no WRX hatch or Levorg type car (not sure I could do CVT though), I may have to look elsewhere such as a Focus ST (although I swore I would never get another FWD car). I have zero interest in SUVs and sedans do not have the utility that I want.

I was under the impression that the WRX hatch model was selling well so I don't understand why SOA will not bring a new version here. I do know of course that Americans in general seem to only want non wagons.....another thing I don't understand. SUVs are heavier, generally have no more room, and are less safe. Geez.....

I own a 2010 WRX hatch and I love it. I want a new 2015 WRX hatch but it doesnt exist! I would love to see the 3-Door Subaru Cross Sport in an AWD model with a 2.0 DIT, This would kill the Golf R and Focus ST and Hyundai Veloster. What is Subaru going to do to stay relevant in the Rally
world? They are not in WRC, they are not effective in Global Rally Cross, and the competition is closing in on them in Rally America. Please build a three door smaller hot hatch that can bring Subaru back to the forefront in Rally Sports. This is Subarus heritage, and it seems they are letting it go. This is what brought me to buy my first of six consecutive Subarus.

Dear SOA,
Please put a turbo motor (of your choosing) in the Crosstrek. I have a 2013 Crosstrek and a 2002 wrx wagon. I'd love to have the torque of the wrx with the versatility of the Crosstrek. Thanks!

SOA - Take that purdy 2-liter and fancy CVT you got in that new WRX, and drop it into the XV Crosstrek.

You'll like the way it looks, I guarantee it.

Since FHI is being stubborn on the keeping the Levorg name, drop your objections to the name and just bring the car here. It'll sell even with the lousy name. People will overlook it (or de-badge it). It sounds like you have customers waiting for it.

Also, hurry up and bring the new Legacy GT with the CVT. People are waiting.

WRX wagon or LEVORG, whatever you want to call it. Just bring it.

Yes to good (Recaro or Recaro-like) seats, yes to direct injection, NO to any stereo as bad as the one that is in our '08 STI (WTH, you guys?), CVT okay for me, but for others' sake offer a 6MT option, too.

This:

is NOT this:

One of those I would've paid cash for before it was even delivered off the truck. The other is a stopgap for another 10 years while the WRX becomes better and better. Can you guess which one?

Numerically give the WRX and STI round numbers, up to 100:

2004: WRX 60 STI 95
2007: WRX 80 STI 95
2010: WRX 85 STI 95
2015: WRX 95 STI 96

This is a generality, but you get the idea. The WRX keeps improving and improving, and the STI stays "stagnate". I cannot justify an extra $7000 for outdated drivetrains and "improved handling" for my stop and go traffic because it's a DD. Just because it has pink badges doesn't mean we're going to fall over each other buying this new one. I'd say about 90% of opinions on NASIOC right now are severe disappointment with the new STI. I own a 2010 STI and I was ready to drop everything to upgrade to the new one. At this point, after owning a Subaru in one form or another for 13 years (and sometimes 2, since my wife has a new XT), this new STI release has given me the wherewithall to go try out different cars. BMW M4, Lotus Exige, Golf R, or wait to see what happens with the new Toyota "Supra" or Kia Stinger. This should have never happened.

SoA, you are not Apple. Apple spends years upgrading their products to what the market is already at, and relies on market share to continue to make profits. They do not innovate at all. You need to show me why I should spend upwards of $40,000 on a car from you. It needs upgraded HP (320-340). It needs a new engine. It needs to turn heads going down the road instead of getting a 2nd look because a gawker thought it looked like a Honda Civic, Cobalt SS, or Lancer MR. Even though we're only 4% of your overall purchases, there are alot of us that buy the STI to have fun, and buy other cars in your lineup for practicality for our family (adding a Legacy or FXT for family, have fun in the STI on the weekends). At this point, I won't be the first one to leave the brand if something isn't done, and I won't be the last.

TL;DR Version: Innovation is key here, not market averages. This STI is not what the public wanted. At *all*.

Suggestion: SOA should take a look at the Facebook page Levorg For America

Bring the WRX and STI in a wagon.

Also give the STi the FA motor. We have had almost no improvement in the engine since the STi hit american shores in 04.

Please do something to make me want to not jump to another car brand. We owned 10 Subarus in my lifetime. 5 of those where purchased new. Now I am considering trying out another brand for a few years and hoping you get your act together.

I don't want to add to the commentary in the 2015 sti thread as it will be lost, but I am disappointed that Subaru has stuck with the 305 hp 2.5L mill that has been in every sti since 2004. I would like to see Subaru saddle up with a truly premium vehicle with ~350 hp via forged pistons, better bearings, and perhaps larger bearing surface areas so that we don't have to touch the bottom end to get a long-life 400 hp engine. Of course all us enthusiasts will modify whatever Subaru makes, but given all the out-of-the-box cars that have eclipsed the sti in performance, the stock STI has become somewhat marginalized.

My WRX is on order, I will trade the new Rex as soon as Levorg is available. And please, manual option!
