Default 2013 STI Headlight Repair

The OEM headlights on my '13 STI got oxidated and I replaced them with aftermarket ones. Recently, the aftermarket headlights are flickering whenever I got over bumps. Anyone know a good guide to troubleshoot HID headlight issues or buying a whole new set of headlights better?

Sorry can't help much with diagnosing the issue but could be a lose connection somewhere. I would check all harnesses. Could also be an issue with the quality of the ballast.

On a side note I do have a set of 2014 headlights for sale just recently polished and uv coating added. With oem hid ballasts included if interested.

Are you using oem bulbs and ballasts in your aftermarket headlight?

Could be a bad connection or bad ground.

My buddy is looking to get DS2 bulbs for his new STI project. Waiting for it to return from wheels and tires installation and balancing before we can start with the cosmetic upgrades. Appreciate any update here.

my bet is on the bulbs or a bad connection. I really haven't seen flickering issues with the oem harness/ballast. If the flickering immediately happened with the new headlight setup i'd start with the bulbs if they're both flickering. IF it's one side, then swap the ballasts/bulbs and see if it follows.
