For every "hatchback or no sale" so called enthusiast, there are two other people that prefer the sedan or will buy this car anyway. This car will be a huge success, the FA24DIT is a beast and can handle a ton of power. The redline is just fine, no different the auto up shifts with the EA888 DSG at around same RPM for best acceleration and staying in the powerband. Just about perfect to shift between 6-6.5K, anything over that is a waste on these engines but hey the tach redline is a like 7K on the other car because much racecar...Yeah but the shifts are forced at 6-6.2K for best acceleration.
Were are all these high power FA24s you speak of and how many 1000s of miles do they have on that beastly motor you claim it has?

They were limited by the CVT only applications up to this point...

These new FA24 WRX/STI are going to put down some serious numbers. Can't wait.

Think Tom Doll pays by the post or does he have this guy on retainer?

Yeap. It actually looks pretty good but as I said, every time a new generation is released, some old men like to come out on the internets and yell at the cloud demanding stuff that like 10 people want and would bankrupt a car company .

All jokes aside, correct me if I am wrong but those are August sales and the 2022 WRX wasn't revealed well into September. I am no detective but I suspect it has to do with bigger inventory Subaru had over the competition. Did you try getting a new MK7 GTI or GLI ? There are none. Crosstrek is a HUGE home run, why not make the line up as similar as possible.

Because theyíre entirely different cars? Why you would ever want to tard up the WRX like they did is beyond me. I already had one foot out of the Subaru door, Iíve always wanted a WRX in WRB but at a different place in my life now.

Because there is nothing else that could touch it at this price range and I think it looks good ?
