Ok, so lack of pad is only half the excuse. The other half is that in preparing the car for track days this year I encountered unexpected additional maintenance and prep costs which have eaten up the entire track day budget for the year.

Rotors were developing cracks and needed to be replaced.

While replacing those I discovered that I'd developed enough heat during the previous track days to cook and kill the rubber dust boots on the caliper pistons.

In addition to tearing things apart a second time to replace all the boots I decided to splurge on a set of titanium shims to hopefully prevent it from happening again.

With the entry fee for the one track day I've done this year I'm already at $1500 for the year. New Pagid RSL29's are $700. With entry fee and fuel my next track day is going to cost me another $1000 in total.

Also haven't forgotten about pics of the Enkei's on my wife's Mini. She's just incredibly lazy and hasn't bothered to order tires and make an appointment to get them mounted. I put in the effort to install new TPMS sensors and put a nice coating on the wheels to repel brake dust and such. But they are currently sitting in their boxes in the garage waiting for her to go do something with them.

To hold you over...here's my boxer-engined car, finally cleaned up and detailed for the year.

Love the way the metallic flake turns the car purple in the sunlight.

I suppose the good news is that all of my track days next year are just entry + fuel .

You don't worry about budget after you remove the dollar column from the spreadsheet

So, I pretty much only post in this thread when i need something, and here we go again.

Anybody got a core support, bumper beam and a hood for a ‘05 WRX? Had an unpleasant encounter with the back of a Jeep Liberty going to work this morning. My fault, but the way insurance is in this state, I think I’ll be better to wrench it myself and avoid a claim.

Michigan winters have taken a toll so, I’m surprised the front end didn’t just fall off.

I don't have bumper parts for you, but I can help buff up the headlights and restore them.

Pretty sure that is the lower radiator support rusted behind the bumper. You can get on Facebook and DM Max Schrager or Tiek, both troll the Michigan Subaru or Fast Subarus of Michigan groups/pages.

Default Subiefest Midwest 7-21-19 Rollcall

Who is going? I was going to try and sell my ticket but decided to go instead to renew my interest. Sadly I'll be in the HHR SS, but, hey since I'll be walking around looking at everyone rides, so what.

The Ann Arbor guys are doing a caravan 7-21-19 to Subiefest Midwest. Planning on meeting at the Meijers on Meijer
5645 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103 about 6am. This will be a day trip for most of us.
