![]() From an email I put together for a friend coming to Texas, I thought it would help fellow driving enthusiasts with an itch to get their car on the track where it belongs!
Some of the clubs in Texas to drive with, on their websites you will often find the information about the local tracks. Some just do HPDEs at this time (fun track days, no time trials, coaching/instruction) -- http://thedriversedge.net http://www.apexdrivingacademy.com http://www.edgeaddicts.com NASA: http://www.nasatx.com/ (HPDE/TimeTrial/Races) For two auto-x clubs check out: http://www.autocross.com/er/equiperap... http://www.dfwautocross.com There is also a lot of PCA and BMWCA and of course SCCA stuff in our area... https://www.bmwcca.org/chapter/lone-s... http://mav.pca.org http://www.scca.com/about/?cid=44660&... Here are the tracks, many have their own "drivers days" also, check out their websites or call them for opportunities to drive their tracks: http://motorsportranch.com http://www.eaglescanyon.com Closing in 2016, hurry up and visit: http://texasworldspeedway.com http://harrishillroad.com http://msrhouston.com http://circuitoftheamericas.com Just outside of Texas: http://www.hallettracing.net/ http://www.nolamotor.com/ That will get you started, hope that helps!! Welcome to Texas! For a preview of some of the tracks I have my own videos posted. I find spins and whoopsie's interesting so I collect those but I do have some regular fast lap videos as well if interested: My Vids - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...ozb1_E375iXiL5 |
