On the one in the rear there a lil hole to pop out the rear badge it might have tabs with two holes in between the skeleton of the trunk. It should be the same on yours too just double check. I took off the rear badge awhile ago on my 06. G.L

I can't decide for an color schema. I dive an 09 hatchback in satin pearl white.
Grill is complete black (Stock) and the rear trim also gets matt black. I fought about all chrome -> white (the ring around also) and the blue part black or chrome - > neon green and the blue part black. i would love to color the brake caliper also in green so this would match very well and in the summer maybe black rims? its so hard to decide |

One hot tip...
I did mine this weekend using goof off. Took me about 30 minutes of light scrubbing with q-tips. No cracking, fading, or foggyness. Perfect job. Then I decided to give it a quick rinse with goof off. Well...don't do that. The plastic started melting before I could rinse it off. So I have a few melted in fingerprints. Because of that. So goof off works perfectly as long as you keep it on q-tips only. Painting it on the other hand took me 4x as long. |

My first attempt at using gold leaf failed, so I just went with gold paint.

I just want to make sure I don't have any hazing so should I wet sand it? If so what do I polish the plastic with after?

I didn't sand it, how I went about it (albeit inefficient) was to use paint thinner (this WILL cloud the plastic) but then used a buffer pad on my Dremel and plastic polishing compound that I had. I'd advise doing something else, as that all took me...well...a long time.
If you get any hazing, wet sanding may work well. It might be a pain to do inside the stars though. |

Could always go to a junkyard and pick up a crap light from somewhere. If you can polish that up, you should be good to go.

Did this on my wife's '04. Used the goof off and probably 200 q-tips.
Ended up having a little crack in it but from more that a foot away it looked great. |

I wanted to test before I did it. So I pulled out one of my extra badges today and gave it a shot. Time consuming especially since im a perfectionist but not a single problem. Take your time and do it right. I'll post pics once I get around to doing the emblems on my actual car.

And as for removing the paint I used 600 grit sand paper than a 1000 grit wet sand to smooth it. |

Finally got around to doing this one. Took me forever, and I don't know how well it came out, but it looks good from more than 3 feet away.
