Oh, I forgot to mention! While looking at the list, The Gram Lights 57C's don't fit either. For some reason thet fit even worse than the F's. They had a set of those and they didn't fit either.

One other thing I learned this morning. Volk LE28N 18" will "supposedly" fit. This was told by the Canadian vendor, KHF and also by this American vendor as well. Both are convinced it fits but they could not confirm it.

i have a lot of dealers telling me different things. what width and offset for these rims. i want to order these in 18" but i do not want them to rub , i have sti pinks on the car. i know someone who had volk le28n 18x7.5 +33 and they rubbed in the rear with the car lowered.
does anybody have these on their car that confirm anything here. I DO NOT WANT TO RUB, and i do not want to roll fenders.

Take a look on the first page now almost all Volks have direct links to their size tables which do in fact show they make 18" CE28N's that will fit (the only difference on the LE28N's is that they have a polished lip, other than that it is the same as the CE28N).

Everyone,
The list is almost completely up to date, I still need to find a few more wheels though. If I didn't find a member/vendor that has confirmed fitment I made direct links to size tables on the manufactures website.

Hopefully this will cause less headaches for all, BTW in the course of doing this extra work I not only deleted wheels, but I also added new ones in some cases.

nana time...

Thanks for posting the picture. They were such awesome rims and sooo light. Pictures are decieving because these rims look way better in real life!

Those le28n's I refered too are 18X8.5 with a 44 offset and they weigh 16.8lbs.

I want to know what people think of this: I'm leaning heavily toward getting TE-37's because it's almost certain they fit, they are VOLK, they look similar to Gram lights and are available and they are 8.0" wide. Is there anything not to like about these?

Thanks Rick, I am a little pissed and need some nana's!

Anyway, so there is no proof that the CE28N's in 17x8 ET44 fit. Ray's has a table that states this size "clears GDB Brembo's"

However, on Ray's home page there is a STi with CE28N's, but no Size data to confirm....so in some form or fashion they do fit.

I also talked with Max at Gruppe-S last week, he advised that the 17x8 ET44 fit......dont know where he got his data, but if its from the same Ray's tables we will not know until they get here from Japan.

Screw it, I know sometime THIS year I will get lighter wheels, so nana's for everyone!

Guys like I said go look on the 1st page again....

horshack, I included all direct links to each wheels specific fitment guide from Rays website, the guides say the CE28N will fit in multiple sizes/widths/offsets, so with that said just go take a look at the new and improved list .

The list is all updated, all the wheels have been test fitted by the member/vendor that is next to the wheel, yet almost all the Volk's have a link to their own fitment guides that say they will fit over the GDB Brembo's (the non test fitted ones). Everything from the SE37K, CE28N to the TE37 will fit, and this is coming from Ray's website. So we don't have actual test fitment but if they are wrong with their own wheel fitment then I don't know what to tell you. Also you will notice alot of other different wheels that have been both added and deleted.

Hope this extra work has been helpful for all, now most have size/width/offset/weight/confirmed fit via test fitting.

Rick

p.s. I only have 3 wheels left to either find a member/vendor that has confirmed fitment via actual test fitting or they will be off the list (try to finish tonight if not it will be done in the AM). Sorry I haven't met my own deadline of today (kill me if you wish) .

::Kills Rick::

no way man, nice job.

Hey Essogas, any chance of a shot of the whole wheel? Well something I'd like to try is to get at least 1 shot of each wheel, make a visual thing.

I'm with Luke on this one. I personally wouldn't go with a offset <+48mm.

Luke,
In respect to which wheel? If pertaining to the Volks, as I have said multiple times I was only going by what Rayswheels (actual manufacture of Volks) has listed in their fitment guides for GDB with Brembo's. If they are wrong about listing their own wheels I don't know what to tell you or anyone else, but I doubt they would lie.

BTW since you say the 44mm offset is wrong can you please tell us what is the correct offset that's if you actually know (does Tirerack even sell Volk's)? I wouldn't go so far to say the offset is wrong (if they fit then they fit), granted lower the offset of the wheel it can/will have some effects on other components (i.e. bearings) but to each there own (everyone can decide for themselves).

As I stated previously the list is more of a guide, you can make your own decisions on if you want certain wheels or not. Heck if you want ideal wheels that will match your every want and need spend the $$$ and have custom HRE, Kinesis, etc. wheels made for you, simple as that.

In the new updated list I have posted all the wheels have been confirmed fitment via test fitting/ or what the actual manufacture reccommends per our application (except for 3 of them). If you would like more info on wheels that members/vendors confirmed please contact them directly as I have stated screen names in most cases. Lastly, if you don't agree with the fitment on the Volk's which have not been test fitted feel free to contact Rayswheels directly @ [email protected].

Rick

horshack,
I found this in a topic that was just posted in regards to what offsets should be run on a wheel for the Impreza's:
Quote:

I don't think the 44mm offset is wrong per say, but it is outside the reccommended offset range for an Impreza per Tirerack's reccommedations as well as other companies.

I guess the saying fits "you've got to pay, to play" in this case if you want a certain type of wheel... you may possibly/will screw up your wheel bearings among other things (all over time) from running a lower offset.

Rick
p.s. a few more nana's for my buddy horshack....

No love from Ray's!

I sent an email to Ray's in Japan looking for some data on the Volks listed that would fit.

This evening I get this response:

For more info please call 800-821-6025

This is the phone number for Mackin Industries here in the US.

I guess I wasnt clear enough that I had already contacted Mackin Industries, thus my email to Japan!

Oh well, I guess like everything else, the proof is in the pudding, so we need lots of physical evidence!

Bring on that container ship from Japan!

17x7.5 Rota Battles I believe the offset is 48mm. Had them on my RS got a STI slapped them on and they fit. Sold them to a guy on I-Club he is driving around with them on, nobody believed me until I sent them some pictures.

Default Volk GT-N 18 X 7.5 Wont fit

I just bought the Volk GT-N's and they DON'T fit over the calipers (even though I was promised by the vendor they would). They are 18 X 7.5 offset +48. Why are are they on your list? Do they only fit with spacers?

Any info you have about these is greatly appreciated.
