Post lowering spring camber recommnedations for alignment
Hi everyone. I just lowered my car this weekend. I went with the Crucial springs that are 1.25" front and 1" rear. I am extremely happy with them. I do not do any track racing, but I like driving the curvey back roads aggresively. I am looking for suggestions on my camber settings for when I get my car aligned this week. I remember reading a thread with suggestions, but I have been unable to find it or anything in my search that helps me out much. A friend recommended -.5. Does this sound good? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

The rear is not adjustable.....you'll see -1 to -1.5 typically. Adjust the front for as much camber as you can get. Again, typically - 1 to -1.3. Tire wear will not be affected at all. 0 toe all around.

Being dropped 1.25" in the front you should be able to get at least -2*. That would probably be good in the front. The rear is not adjustable without camber bolts and you would likely be at -1.25*. Those camber setting should be good for what you want to do. I would also recommend 0 toe all around as a mix between having the best tire wear and fun ride.

I'd say -2deg might be a bit much if all he's doing is aggressive street driving. I'd aim for about -1.5deg. It depends on how often he hits the curvey back roads, I guess. If it's only every once in a while, then that -2deg will (from my experience) begin to wear the inner shoulder of the tire (yes, even with 0 toe all around). If he's hitting the back roads every day, then -2deg should work out fine.

I take the back roads about 5 days a week. I'm thinking 1.5 from what you are all saying. |
