Default 07 Sti coolant line leak from defi egt gauge install.

I had my Defi egt gauge installed and it was leaking a little bit of oil, so I bought a wrench to tighten it down. I test drove the car to find out that it was now leaking coolant. Pics of the egt sensor pinching the line.
I rode few hundread miles on a road trip with out a coolant leak, just a mild oil leak. But after I fixed the oil leak I must have pinched the line enough to cause a tear. So I removed the egt sensor and put the stock plug back in. I cut where the tear was in the coolant line, and now it wont fully attach to the the valve where it is suppost to connect. It will reach, it just doesn't have enough tubing to fully attach.

What are my options? I have to get a new coolant line? and if I did want to reconnect teh egt sensor , how would I get it to connect with out pinching the coolant line? It seems as if subaru could desing these parts a litte further from each other. The line goes directly over the oil gally plug. Sorry for the long post, thanks for looking

Well first of all that's an oil pressure sensor and not an egt sensor. It sounds like you need a new coolant line. You have one option: buy a new line. I'm sure it's probably pretty cheap from the dealer.

I noticed the clearance issue when I installed my op sensor. I decided to install it in place of the stock oil pressure switch under the alternator. I ended up placing my oil temperature sensor in the galley pictured above. It has a much lower profile compared to the op sensor so it doesn't contact the coolant line.

I wouldn't get upset at Subaru for this. It's not like they ever knew that you'd use the oil galley for something.

yeah oil pressure, lol sorry a little flustered from messing with it for the past couple of hours.

I'm not really mad at Subaru, I just think that perhaps they could forsee future oil pressure sensor installs.

What is the exact name of this line, or part number? How hard is it to replace :/. I am definitely a newb when it comes to mechanics. I wish the installer would of warned me about this potential problem.

dont know from that horrible pic. maybe the throttlebody coolant line? If so do the bypass mod. If not go to the dealer and have them look at the line.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.60 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.14320/554; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)

that's what oil pressure sender relocation kits are for.

I bypassed the throttle body coolant line, this is the line coming out over the oil galley plug.

I just put a little plastic cusp thing on with some metal clamps and extended the hose. No leaks so far. I am getting a 45 degree angled oil galley thingy that should fix my problems.
