+1 I love ripping around in the 5 speed. But it's nice to drive the girlfriends 4 speed auto to do things around town. Just get to relax and slap it in D.

Automatic is a nice break in stop and go traffic... except when you forget what you're driving and slam on the brake thinking it's the clutch.

I always stomp the floor looking for the clutch before I start my girlfriends escape. Found myself reaching in the cup holders for the shifter before too. Thing has a butt ton of body roll too, I try to take corners at Mach 1 speed like the subie.

She just looks at me and says "easy killer, this isn't like your car"

Every once in a blue moon I have to drive an auto, and this happens atleast once during the drive. Usually as I'm coming to a stop and want to clutch in for neutral. I still stop, just a little earlier and rougher, haha.

That car is an auto '98 civic (my moms) and I even forget that I can't start from a stop on steep hills or in the rain, without spinning the tires a little. Damn FWD.

I swear, ever since owning my Subaru, I haven't looked at FWD the same.

When a beggar standing on the side of a freeway entrance at the metered light notices your window is open, smiles at you, and asks you to rev it up so he can hear it roar. There's a first time for everything haha

When you go faster on the on ramp then the freeway.

When first gear or reverse is some time hard to find.

When you have to replace your clutch at 30k miles.

When you can see the reflection of your car and you still check it out.

When the sole purpose of going to the meets is to try and instigate a late night cruise.

Also, when you are the only one at work that gets pissed that you have to drive your company truck to/from work.

I'll walk blocks over parking next to people in some places. Or I look for 2 Mercedes/bmw's/ Lexus' or cars of the sort parked with a spot between them.
At my apartments me and my neighbor have a system where she parks her escalade on the end of the row, then my wrx next then my company truck because the company will pay for that one =-)
