hazard switch bulb burned out
My hasard switch illumination bulb burned... the dealer told me the entire switch is 40$ or so. Is it one of these little 12V radio-shack bulbs I could change myself in the switch?
Also, can I just pry off the switch, or do I need to disassemble the plastic around the vents with the screws next to the cupholder?

Are you sure the bulb is really bad. Since that light gets so little use I would suspect there may be a connection problem to the light rather than the bulb itself being bad.

well its the bulb which illuminates the switch along with the cluster lights, when the headlights are switched on. I guess they just burn randomly, as it should always be on with the main lights (and not only when the button is pressed).

Ok, I understand. That does get a lot use. You may just have to remove the switch to get at it. You might try prying on the front bezel slighty to see if you can get at it from the front side.

A bulb from RadioShack should work.

I just did this myself and will post pics of the install tomorrow. All you need is the bulb from radio shack, and about 10 minutes. It seems hard when you first look at it, but its cake and the dealer and everyone else can suck a fat one for telling you that you need a whole new button.
