Man...

Just bought my first WRX this last weekend (Lightly driven 17' Limited CVT) and I can't wait to have a serious journey with mine like you have yours.

Absolutely loved reading this entire thread over the last three days.

March 30th 2020 Pickup anniversary

Six years ago I picked up this car from Manchester Subaru in NH

I am very happy with how much joy this car brought me despite the misinformation out there about the CVT (Yes, I also drive manual).

CVT cooler is very helpful. Changing the CVT fluid earlier than 30k might be a good idea. Amsoil syntehtic CVT fluid is a very good option - I switched to it from the OEM Orange high torque CVT fluid.

Extra Special thanks to my brother Perscitus for helping me along the way

At this time I am using the car to drive to my hospital to decrease my presence on the subway (Normally it would be a waste to drive to work from where I live). It adds a good amount of joy despite the dire situation we are in.

I am proud to be a healthcare worker - especially at this time

Thank you Hekler for sending masks to us here in NYC

Here she is parked at my hospitals parking lot (Doorshox always come in handy to protect from dings and I also utilized the parking's cone for some extra safety...)

Everyone Stay safe

Driving to and from the hospital with the beast has kept my sanity.
Of course returning to my family is the best feeling but the drive releases all the tension.

Mostly I prefer a chill cruise with windows down to calm down... listening to the sound of the exhaust and intake/turbo.... but sometimes there are a few drivers that ask for it... Acuras, Volvos, BMWs, Mercs.... you name it... they all disappear in the mirror

A little present for myself.... Burnz Auto Carbon Fiber Key Cover
Link:
https://burnzauto.com/collections/ac...15-wrx-sti-brz

Nice Quality - easily opens and clicks onto the key. No imperfections.
Shipping was quick via DHL.

You can pick from three colors: Black, Red and Blue.
I like the more stealthy look as you guys already know so I went with black.
I was on the fence with Blue as to match the DIT emblem etc.

**I did purchase one of the prototypes as I did not want the Burnz Auto emblem on my key cover

Another upgrade time!

This time its the horns.

I have been using a quad setup of stock with hella supertones.

Grounding issues caused the Hellas to stop working almost 4 or how many years I had them on already (forget).

I decided its a good time for an upgrade of the stock horns to the JDM H3717VA010 horns.

H3717VA010 are trumpet style horns with 400Hz and 500Hz horns. A deeper and louder sound vs stock. Plug and play, even comes with the bracket that is already there so you get a free paperweight!

For the harness I use Lightwerkz custom hella horn harness

So the final result is louder and I like it!

Upgrade:

So time came to cleanup my taillights. I previously had custom vinyl wrapped taillights with xpel ultimate 35%.
Started to have minor issues on the edges etc so I thought lets clean it up.

I did not have to think hard where to go because my brother used Prodipper here in NYC on his Tesla Model 3 - so I knew the excellent work Philips provides.

I purchased a second set of OEM taillights and left them with Philips to do his magic - permanent smoke with clear coat and same design was the project.

Could not be any more happy with the results. Very well painted and my OCD was pleased - no imperfections whatsoever.
I highly respect Prodipper and would recommend over and over again. If you are in NYC don't hesitate, just make an appointment.
