Well as of last night, my car is officially in winter mode. Steelies and snow tires are on, silver winter bumper is on, and the roof rack is back on. During the next 4 months while my car is ugly, i'll be respraying my front lip, as well as possibly getting some fresh paint on the sti rear bumper, and getting the rest of the little pieces together to finish this phase of the car in the spring

However, i finally ordered my new wheels from Import Image Racing. As of this post, the tracking info says they'll be here tomorrow, so i have that to look forward to.
I put my old wheel and tire setup up for sale and they sold in less than 24 hours, so i took that money and picked up the tires im going to run on my new wheels: Bridgestone Potenza RE760s in 255/35/18

Well now, look what showed up today...

In the midst of the excitement of getting new wheels, i forgot to post another little mod i did last week. I got a set of LED F1-Style flashing brake light bulbs. The bulbs quickly flash 8 times before staying solid. Ive attached a video, although the camera doesnt pick up on all the flashing-they look better in person
http://s1164.photobucket.com/user/ch...j1pip.mp4.html

After installing those, i decided that the rest of the bulbs looked dull compared to the LEDs, so i changed out my parking and reverse lights to LED as well. I also have a LED third brake light bulb on the way, and I am planning to change out my turn signals in the near future too.

Also, last weekend, a new local shop in Frederick, MD called MMPerformance, held a dyno weekend on their newly acquired dynocom dyno (reads similarly to a dynojet). I decided to run my car and ended up putting down 242whp and 244wtq, which was better than i was expecting for an ej205 still running the stock td04 with the cobb stage 2 map. I still need more power though.

So for my birthday last month, my girlfriend got me an HIC rear window visor. However, the company picked the slowest shipping method, and it took almost two weeks to ship cross country. Anyway, it finally got delivered earlier this week. Before i was on the fence between the window visor and the 06/07 sti roof vane, but one of my friends got the visor on his 04 wrx, and that sold me. I think its going to look really nice with the wingless trunk.

Since im planning to respray my front lip while its off the car for the winter (paint got eaten alive by rocks), my friend who works in a body shop, the same one who fixed my sti rear flare, hooked me up and fixed the crack in the lip that was there when i bought it back in the spring. Once again, he came through. Going to sand down the lip and pick up some more Grimmspeed wrb paint to finish the lip and a few other little bits i have that need paint.

I'm also throwing around the idea of getting some canards for my front bumper. I'm not 100% sure if i want to do it yet, but if i do, ill be getting a set of con10der canards (see pics, same guy that makes my diffuser). I cant decide if one or two canards per side looks better, so id love to hear opinions on if i should do canards, and if so, one or two.

Got the tires mounted & balanced on my new wheels the other day. Really happy with how they look on the wheels. Next up is some tire stickers for them and i'll be getting my fenders rolled.

I need to clean off the tire mounting paste

So last night i was changing my oil, and managed to strip out the drain hole in the oil pan...
After weighing my options, I decided to just go ahead and replace the pan, as that would be the only way to 100% ensure perfect threads and no leaks.

After i got home with my car, i decided to start sanding down my front lip and new rear side skirt spats to get them ready for paint.

Those rims and tires are going to look awesome on your car. Too bad about the oil pan, good thing it wasn't any worse and you were able to get it fixed quickly.

please tell me you had them check the oil pickup tube when swapping pans?? I would have had them put on a STI oilpan and a killerbee pickup. that way you could run ELH if you ever wanted and have piece of mind that the pickup hasnt cracked. That being said im glad you replaced the pan instead of just trying to patch the drain plug.

I cant wait to put them on. Im gonna get some tire stickers too, but i just found a crazy deal on a part i'll need when it comes time to upgrade my turbo, so tire stickers are on hold for a week or so lol. Picking it up tomorrow, and ill make sure to post it in here...

Yeah the pickup was fine, the guys at Kinetic did a good job making sure everything was good before putting the new pan on. If i had more time, I would have done the killer b pickup, but its my daily so i cant have it down for too long waiting for parts lol. I had a bunch of people telling me to try and tap it and run a larger plug, but i decided it would be better to just go ahead and spend the money to replace the pan instead of taking the cheap way and risking leaks and running low on oil. Not trying to rebuild my motor right now lol.

Originally i was going to wait until tax return time to start getting go fast parts for a turbo swap, but when you find a brand new in box Grimmspeed 38mm ewg uppipe, dump tube, and new Grimmspeed gaskets for $100, you go buy it.

Where the hell did you find a deal like that? I've been eyeing an EWG set up for a long time in the classifieds.

Looking forward to seeing your wheels and your front aero additions come together.

Haha i was actually at a meet, and a friend found the ad on the facebook marketplace classifieds and showed it to me since he knew i wanted one eventually. I messaged the guy selling it and drove 2 hours to get it, but it was worth it for that price.

I have to look at my car in winter mode every day and i cant wait for spring when i can put everything on lol.

Today started out with some friends and i planning to install my BC rear camber plates and my shorter front strut bodies for my coilovers. We ended up deciding to pull all the coilovers out, pull, them completely apart, and give them a good clean, and put a fresh coat of anti-seize on for the winter. At least now i know they wont be seized up in the spring when i go to adjust them.
Now that the rear camber plates are on, ill be getting my fenders rolled next.

Figured ill post a quick little update.

I ordered some tire stickers from Tredwear, so they will be here in a couple days. I'll be sure to post pictures once i get them installed.

I got primer laid down on my sideskirt spats and aero guards, so today i put down the base coats of wrb and then clear coat. I also got primer laid down on my front lip. (Excuse the crappy iphone pics.)

Spats and aero guards after all base and clear coat has been applied. Ill be doing some wetsanding with very fine sand paper as well as using scratch out and polishing compound to get rid of the little bit of orange peel and really make it shine.

Hopefully sometime next week i'll be dropping off my sti bumper and rear bumper spats at the body shop for a respray. I dont trust my skills with a rattle can that much lol.

Just incase anyone wanted to see how well the grimmspeed paint matches, here are 2 pictures: one with the flash and one without, of the spats compared to a factory wrb 06 sti rear bumper.
