Here is your answer. I call it the Subugatti as it runs 10's at 4500~ ft at 135 mph. See level, just as fast as a veyron in the drag.

^^ any built ls motor will outlast an built ej motor.

the corvette is a better choice for raw power, it cna make 600 @ the wheel in NA trim, no turbos or overly built motors IMO..

it'd probably keep up with an sti on a road course too.

if u want a 600 whp 4 cyl turbo car that will last build a turbo civic or get a dsm!!

This car is a daily driver on straight 93oct pump, and has no issues, and let me say, it is a hell of alot of FUN!!! I feel like i am the king of the road when i am driving it, and i don't back from anyone (Z06'S). I don't make arrangements to race illegally but if i'm on the road and happen to come across anyone that want's to test me, then we go for it
Buying a ZO6 that runs 11's is nice, but to me, i would be just another one. I could say the same about the EVO too, what i like about the subaru is the challenge.

Right on I cant agree more..the challenge is the main thing i bought the subie, I had a choice to get a EVO but I always like to be the underdog... subaru is very understimated and I appreciate the guys that take time and take them into the next level...for instance we have now wrx/STi that are running low 9`s on a street class thats impressive to me because not too long we gon have a whole bunch running 8`s all day.

Are you serious! Put some drag tires on that vette, go to the track and hit 1.3-1.5, 60fts all day. A subi can't do that. If you are street racing, then any AWD car has the advantage off the line. One the highway the vette is a monster. You either bought a dud z06 or you need to learn how to drive it. You shouldn't be losing that bad in roll races against some of these cars. Plus parts for a vette aren't that bad. You don't have to do that much to the LS7 platform to make it faster. A simple cam change or even a shot of the laughing gas will net you some serious HP.

Subarus are fun to mod, but can't make the crazy HP that some other car platforms can. The engine design just limits the capability.

I'm curious how you're making that much power on 93 without blowing up your motor, what's the secret?

I wouldn't put money on a stock turbo DSM outlasting a 35r'd ej257. Even if the motor doesn't let go, something else will.

Not trying to be "the one" to bring it up or anything, but are you bragging about street racing?? ... And you say that a 2002 Z06 is heavy huh? I could have sworn that those fiberglass door panels, and that light all aluminum V-8 helped the car to weigh in less than 3,100lbs... And that is about 200 - 300 less than an STi the last time I checked...

Chris your right not to mention the 01-04 are lighter then the new 06+ z06(there is no 05 Z06 google once in your life) but the 06+ has a big hp advantage gearing advantage. I have friends with cam bolt on z06's they put down about 520-530whp and these cars are no joke they will beat cars with 100-150rwhp more all day no problem due to power to weight and gearing(160mph top of 4th). A 06+ start around 42K and cam headers intake tune is about 5k installed. I know all this because it will be my next car keeping the subi of course

Those new Z06's are GREAT!! They sound amazing too when you are on them hard... I saw one at an Autocross I was at a while back and it had an amazing sound. VERY fast too!! I'd LOVE a Z06 ... But I love AWD too much to spend that much on a car at the moment, so I'll just have to make do with my STi for a few years

having the power on the street and knowing you have it on tap is the best part.....i drive my car maybe 1-2 a week and when i do drive it i don't boost unless i have to

the best part of having a high hp subaru is that there aren't that many....when someone asks me what car i drive i say "just a subaru" nothing special right....then they ask how much hp and then i see their mouth drop
