Thought I'd add my 2 cents. I just recently got tuned for stage 1+ with Eric. So far everything is amazing. It pulls so much harder than it did on the Cobb ots map. I've been using the ots for over a year in all variations. And since moving to Arizona the car felt terrible and slow as hell. But the very first tune with Eric woke the car up so much. It pulls hard as hell and there are 0 flat spots when under boost. This is the best $99 I've spent and the best mod so far. He even said there would be no charge for when I put the stock air box back on when the monsoon season comes. Great guy and awesome tuner. I'd highly recommend him. I'm definitely coming back for stage 2!

Anyone got a dyno / virtual dyno from TP's stage 1 ( bone stock ). Im looking at how much it increased in HP compared to Cobb's OTS.

I had TP tunes on my last car (2008 WRX). When I bought my new STi, naturally, I went with TP. So far, no regrets. Car feels great, logs don't show anything scary, and Eric replies with revision incredibly fast.

Personally, I had a very negative experience with TP.

Stage 1 was fine, stage 2 + ebcs started to have issues. No knock, but the car never had anything resembling good boost control. ALWAYS had 3-4PSI spikes whenever I would mash the pedal, every quick shift had huge spikes as well. Terrible Boost Control tuning, and this was WITH an EBCS. His response after 10 logs of just boost control was that these cars don't like good boost control and I will never have that.

When the car was put on the dyno with his tune it knocked and had pretty pathetic looking HP/TQ curves.

Fast forward to a different tuner and zero problems with boost spiking and boost control.

Buyer beware.

Another thumbs up! Stage 1 FA20DIT. The cruise knock is nearly non-existent, very nice smooth tune if you want to baby the car and strong when you don't. Very affordable, great and quick service and overall a huge improvement over the OTS maps in terms of knock resistance and additional power. Cheers.

Default Mishimoto Intake w/ Box

Anyone running Eric's Stage 1+ with a Mishimoto intake?

What intake do you prefer with Eric's eTune?

How would you rate this Stage 1+ with the competitors? I hear great things about Eric and wanted to hear from others in the family that are happy for what they paid for.

Eric has tuned numerous cars for me and currently my 207 swapped Bugeye. I have nothing but positive things to say which is why I have sent him a lot of business. Even those individuals are amazed at how much better their cars feel. Customer service is also top notch!

Went with TP for an eTune on an 07 STI. Price is more than reasonable for a pretty basic tune (ELH, up pipe, tb exhaust, cai). I'm probably not the fastest person to turn logs around to him and he had no issue working around that (5mo start to finish, 9 revisions).

Plan to go speed density + flex fuel at some point and will most likely go with him to tune it. Pleasure to work with!

I worked with TP for remote tuning on my 2002 wagon. Fantastic experience. The tune was a Carberry flex fuel with functioning TGV. Eric is quick to turn maps around. I think record is 3 maps in one day. He was patient with all of my newbie questions. Even with a mild setup like mine (B25/EJ25, VF39), on e85 the car feels super torquey and beast like. He addressed drivability issues like started and partial throttle/daily driving habits, and not just all out performance. I will definitely send me more business in the future.

Just now seeing this but I had the exact same issue with stage 2 + EBCS. Curves looked like an OTS Cobb tune and was pulling timing up top. Got a dyno tune and everything was so much better.

I have a 2011 WRX and his OTS Stage 3 map (racerx fmic, ebcs, cobb dp, cobb intake + box, 1 step colder ngk sparkplugs). 80K miles later and I havent had any issues. Now I'm looking to take the next step and have Eric to do a e85 flex fuel e-tune for me.

Would highly recommend an actual dyno tune at that point.
